Filippa Duci (sometimes called Philippa Desducs in French), dame de Couy, was a Piemontese courtesan and mistress of King Henri II of France.
Filippa, daughter of Gian Antonio Duci, was born in Piedmont, was born around in 1520 in Piedmont. Her family was from Moncalieri, Piedmont.
She met Henri, Dauphin of France, son of François I in 1537 during François's campaigns in Italy. The affair soon produced a daughter, Diane d'Angoulême, born in 1538 in Paris.
The birth was considered extremely important because Henri did not yet have any children with his wife Catherine, though they had already been married several years.
In 1541, François I granted Filippa a life rent of 400 livres per year. Her daughter Diane was raised by Henri's favourite mistress Diane de Poitiers, she received a fine education and married into the powerful Montmorency family.
Around 1541 or 1542, Filippa was married to Jean-Baptiste de Saint-Séverin, an Italian gentleman and privy counsellor.
Filippa Duci died near Tours, on 15 October 1586.
