      What to Know

      Critics Consensus

It's good to see Dwayne Johnson back in full-throttle action mode, but Faster doesn't deliver enough of the high-octane thrills promised by its title.

Bruno S Não é o melhor filme de ação de todos os tempos, mas aqui, Dwayne entrega uma das melhores atuações da sua carreira, num filme competente, que vale à pena cada minuto! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 09/03/23 Full Review Jean-Michel C Wow wow wow! Big surprise! Way above average cop movie, if it's not a masterpiece well it is very close to it. The plot looks very much like the kind you would find in 40s 50s 60s noir movies, very dense and dark. Acting is 1st class, with Billy Bob, the Rock and Carla perfectly fitting their characters. Photography is beautiful etc etc Lots to say about many things in this film Loved the Chevelle, spot on! Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 08/21/23 Full Review Ryan S Easy enough to watch if you're bored. Just a numbskull movie really as it's pretty much just a numbskull movie really as it just uses violence to salvage itself from any real plot depth and its ridiculously stupid and pointless sub plot about a the hit man who is after him getting married to some random woman or something. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/22/23 Full Review Emilliano S The ending was ridiculous like it shift from bad ass revenge to a mediocre fantasy film. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review steve d So fast they forgot to give the characters personalities. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review gaz p The movie is slow, the dialogue terrible. And worst of all, it's predictable. It isn't action packed, it isn't thrilling and it isn't even remotely engaging. If anything, it's 1 hour and 40 minutes of wasted time. There's not even enough action in the film to make it worth watching with an empty mind and a hunger for bloodshed. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Tara Brady Irish Times A white trash cousin to Jason Statham's geezer fu movies, this is no-nonsense, high- octane and as speedy as the title dares to suggest. Mar 28, 2019 Full Review Roxana Hadadi Chesapeake Family Magazine Revenge films bank on the audience's desire for the bad guys to get what they deserve, but the lack of any emotion in Faster invalidates that. Mar 28, 2019 Full Review Ignatiy Vishnevetsky Chicago Reader The film never outshines its influences, but as back-to-basics action filmmaking, it's often superb. Mar 28, 2019 Full Review Brian Eggert Deep Focus Review Faster needed either fewer brains or more, and Tillman’s directorial flourishes (saturated colors and offbeat angles) don’t make up for what’s lacking. Rated: 2/4 Aug 3, 2023 Full Review Mike Massie Gone With The Twins There's virtually no comedy relief, the violence is brutal and grim, and the characters aren't even given names. Rated: 4/10 Nov 29, 2020 Full Review Richard Propes TheIndependentCritic.com It would be almost impossible to completely diss a film that seems to accomplish what it sets out to do, even if what it sets out to do isn't particularly artistic.
