Located in the Gloucester Passage overlooking the crystal blue waters of the Whitsundays, Cape Gloucester Resort is a 40-minute drive from Airlie Beach and one of the very few beachfront dining restaurant and accommodation venues on the mainland. Our Restaurant & Bar is Open from 10 am 7 days a week. Every meal is served up with panoramic views of the ocean and the dishes are created using only the freshest local ingredients. Enjoy a cocktail poolside after your meal while you relax in the tropical Whitsunday Lifestyle, or sit back Beachfront watching the Sun Set over the Coral Sea. Had a lovely lunch here ! Resort had a very relaxed feel and there were quite a few people there despite it being mid week. Great views to the water and cool breeze under the trees , and our dogs were allowed to be there ! Totally recommend!

My husband and I both ordered the 'crispy' cajun chicken burger. My chicken was cooked fine (though it wasn't crispy and was dripping with oil), however my husband's chicken was still slightly raw in the centre. When we asked for it to be cooked a little bit more, the waitress quickly returned and said that the chicken was checked with a thermometer and taken off at 74 C (even though safe chicken temp is 75 C) and that all they could do was give us the plate back if we wanted it. Having lost his appetite, my husband said not to worry about it but he would like his burger taken off the bill considering he was only able to eat two bites of it. Again, the waitress argued with us and said that because the temp was checked during the cook, they would not be reimbursing it, and the only thing they could do was return the plate to us to continue eating. We then asked to speak to a manager who never appeared. By the time we left, we had to explain the situation again to the lady who was taking payment and she removed it from the bill, however it should not have been such a difficult experience. Not to mention, we arrived and were waiting at the bar to be served, there were 5 staff members (including the manager) standing there talking and not one of them acknowledged or served us for at least 5 minutes. The food is overpriced (and it's a bargain if you get it cooked properly), the customer service is terrible. The venue was where we got married a few years ago and location is lovely, so it's a real shame that the experience at the restaurant has ruined it. We definitely won't be returning.

Absolutely loved it! The food is always on point - delicious! Cocktails are refreshing, the view is divine, the live music was wicked and the kids absolutely loved the blowup waterslides and pool!! This is one of my absolute favourite places to go 🍹

A great day out at Cape Gloucester Eco Resort. The welcoming atmosphere with a treat of waterslides for the kids ensured a fun day for everyone! Menu choices were varied and there was something for everyone. The food was delicious and the portion size was spot on. Will definately be back.
