President

Mike grew up in Allston and West Roxbury areas of Boston. The sixth of eight boys in a ‘blue collar’ Thomas family, Mike was the first in the family to graduate from college, after Boston English High School and post- graduate year at prep school.

Timing is everything in life and so it was for Mike as he was fortunate to have Coach Bill Stewart as coach/mentor/advisor as well as other English High teachers to help him gain admittance to Phillips Academy at Andover. Educational and sports team experiences at both secondary schools, have shaped and stayed with him for life.

After college, a myriad of careers led Mike from public service in Boston Mayor White’s office to sales/marketing positions in consumer-goods Marketing. Mike built his own home in Westchester County in 1983 where he founded Thomas Associates, a boutique marketing consulting firm.

Relocating back to Boston area in 2002, he became involved with EHSAA; after 15 years in mortgage industry, is recently retired.  He is currently President of English High School Alumni Association and has been for 10 years. Mike lives in Walpole, MA with his partner, Denise Capozzoli and her son, William.
