Theodora of Trebizond (1250-1303) was Empress of Trebizond from 1284 to 1285, interrupting John II of Trebizond's terms.
Biography[]
Theodora was the son of Manuel I of Byzantium and Rusudan of Georgia, and she was the half-sister of George and John. In 1284, with the help of the Georgian king David VI Narin of Lazica, she managed to seize the throne of the Empire of Trebizond in 1284, only for John to return to power a year later. Theodora died in 1303.
