Emma de Blois (she/her) is a screenwriter, novice game deisgner, and pop culture enthusiast. Originally from Northern BC, she graduated in 2022 from the University of Victoria with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in writing and produced her first short film, Bunk Beds, shortly after. As an undergraduate, Emma worked as a drama editor on several issues of This Side of West and as editor-in-chief for Her Campus UVic.

Find Emma in ECS trying her hand at XR storytelling or in the grad office subjecting others to bubblegum pop from her CD collection. Her thesis project will be an interactive digital story created in collaboration with the Computer Science department. She is also the experimental editor and director of publication for Over/Exposed Lit.

Through sci-fi, horror and comedy, her work explores anxieties and opportunities of digital life, mortality, coming of age, and the inherent dread of living under capitalism.
