Percival Emerson runs a very small publishing house, Watson-Cook Publishing, in Toronto introduced in Season 13 of Murdoch Mysteries, portrayed by Alex Hatz.

Appearances and Mentions

Kill Thy Neighbour

  • Percival Emerson visits Constable Crabtree at the Station House to inform him that his publishing house does not have room to store "every dud we print". As stated in their contract, the remaining unsold copies of the print run that does not sell out in two months will be turned to pulp. No store will take George's book hence the remaining copies will be destroyed and he already has his author's copies – end of story.
  • Then after an article in the Toronto Telegraph by Louise Cherry mentions George's book, Percival Emerson receives orders for the book and offers George a book tour – with a mention of a second printing.

Things Left Behind

  • At a bus station, Percival Emerson tells George that they are "plum out of books", so it's time to rest and  see his sweetheart. They can reschedule once the second printing is out.
  • George suggests a forward be added to the book as his fans may want to hear from him to which  Emerson points out that George is no Henry James just yet, "Though you may be on your way".
  • Percival Emerson wishes his author safe travels back to Toronto where they'll see each other again; George thanks Percy – who is the last to see him...
