Elizabeth was the seventh child born to William Hutchinson of Alford and Rhode Island, and his famous wife, Anne (Marbury) Hutchinson, the religious heretic of Boston, who died in an Indian massacre in New Netherland.

Elizabeth was baptized in Alford on 17 February 1622 (written 1621/2 in the records, since the new year began in March in that timeframe). She died during the same epidemic as her older sister, Susanna. She was buried in Alford on 4 October 1630.
