‘You’re Done!’ Charlie Kirk Tells Elise Stefanik Her Trump VP Chances Are Over After Latest Vote

Conservative firebrand Charlie Kirk claimed that Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY) has ruined her chances of being former President Donald Trump’s VP after her latest vote to reauthorize FISA.

On Friday, 86 Republicans voted against a bipartisan amendment proposed by Rep. Andy Biggs (R-AZ) that would have required the FBI to get a search warrant in order to surveil foreign intelligence data for references to U.S. citizens.

According to CNN, concerns surrounding the amendment sparked the Biden administration along with GOP national security hawks to launch a lobbying campaign urging lawmakers to vote against it. Stefanik was one of the 86 lawmakers to vote no on the amendment after voting to reauthorize the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act.

Kirk reacted to the news on Friday by telling listeners of The Charlie Kirk Show that Stefanik had ended her chances of becoming Trump’s vice presidential candidate in the 2024 race against President Joe Biden.

The Turning Point USA leader began the segment by reading out the names of each Republican who voted against Biggs’ amendment before reaching Stefanik. Kirk then pledged to “actively oppose” Stefanik within Trump’s inner circle for her to be the Republican nominee’s VP running mate.

“Elise Stefanik you have ended your running to be Donald Trump’s vice president. Elise Stefanik, you’re done! We will now actively oppose you to be Trump’s VP. Nice person. You just ended your VP political career. All that ambition for nothing,” Kirk noted.
