Elisabeth Murdoch, the mother of media mogul Rupert Murdoch and one of Australia’s leading philanthropists for decades, died Wednesday at her home outside Melbourne, Bloomberg and Reuters report.
Ms. Murdoch, who would have turned 104 in January, was a beloved figure in her home country and remained philanthropically active well into her 90s, supporting more than 100 organizations, with children’s health and the arts her primary causes.
