Comedian Donnell Rawlings of 'Chappelle's Show' fame coming to Sacramento
Rawlings, known for playing Ashly Larry on "The Chappelle Show," will headline Punch Line Sacramento Thursday through Sunday. The comedian has toured with comedy legends Dave Chappelle and Chris Rock. His first stand-up special, "A New Day," premiered last February on Netflix.
Tickets are $45.25 for preferred seating, $35.25 for general admission in advance and $38.25 at the door. Learn more.
Sacramento First-Time Homebuyer Expo
The Sacramento Association of Realtors will host its second annual first-time homebuyer expo this weekend. More than 28 vendors will be at the Mack Powell Event Center from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.

Earth Day Festival
Ferris Spanger Elementary School in Roseville is hosting an Earth Day Festival from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday.
The free celebration will have more than 40 craft vendors, 20 clubs and organizations tabling, food trucks, ice cream, cold drinks, bouncy castles, games, Yoga, storytime, a book swap and more. Learn more.
Sacramento Reptile Show
The Sacramento Reptile Show returns to Cal Expo for the April 28 weekend. With over 3,000 reptiles on display, the event is the largest reptile exhibit in Northern California. Watch the video above to learn about last year's reptile show.

Old Sacramento Spring Festival
The 3rd Annual Old Sacramento Festival is happening this Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the lawn across from the Sacramento History Museum and California State Railroad Museum. Watch the video above to learn about the Spring Festival last year.
The event features hourly dances around a 15-foot maypole with a crown and ribbons, traditional country dances to upbeat live music, live fencing, hands-on arts-and-crafts stations, balloon animals, gold panning and more. Learn more.
Sacramento Grilled Cheese Festival
The Sacramento Grilled Cheese Festival is happening this weekend at Southside Park from 1-4 p.m. on Saturday and 11-4 p.m. on Sunday. Watch the video above to learn about the Grilled Cheese Festival last year.
Those attending on Saturday must be age 21 or older. General admission tickets are $75 and include unlimited grilled cheese and beer/wine/spirits. On Sunday, the festival is family-friendly, with tickets for $10. Kids ages 5 and under get in free. Learn more.
Light of Dance Academy event in Folsom
A free event on Sunday will highlight Indian dance traditions on Sunday at the Jill Solber Theater at Folsom High School. The Light of Dance Academy’s plans performances that are influenced by classical forms and that are based on Bollywood songs in Hindi cinema. The show is at Jill Solber Theater at Folsom High School from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Learn more.
Kids Day in Rancho Cordova
A Kids Day festival takes place Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Hagan Community Park in Rancho Cordova. Learn more.
Elk Grove Brew Fest
In its seventh year, the festival brings together drinks, food, music and a wide range of activities. Events include mechanical bull riding, stein-holding, corn hole and more.
The event takes place Saturday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Elk Grove Regional Park. General admission is $45 and includes unlimited beer, wine and ciders. For those who plan to be behind the wheel, a special $15 admission is available for designated drivers, but it offers no beer and non-alcoholic drinks will be available to purchase from vendors. Kid's Expo
The 39th annual Kid's Expo is 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the El Dorado County Fair and Event Center.
The free event offers performances, community resource booths, food vendors and hands-on activities like face painting, caricature drawing, balloon art, glitter tattoos and a petting zoo. Event organized by Catalyst Community. Learn more.
Auburn-area events
Gold County Rodeo
Come watch professional bull riding, bronc riding, barrel racing, the Flying U Flying Cowboys and more this weekend in Auburn.
The Gold County Rodeo kicks off Thursday inside McCann Stadium at the Gold Country Fairgrounds. That day's entertainment includes a dummy roping contest, food trucks, and music from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday is the night rodeo, with daytime performances scheduled for Saturday and Sunday.

Stockton-area events
Lodi Beer Fest and California State BBQ Championship
Happening from 2-5 p.m. Saturday at the Lodi Grape Festival Grounds, admission includes unlimited beer tastings from more than 50 breweries and a commemorative tasting glass, and teams competing in a cookoff sanctioned by the Kansas City BBQ Society. There will also be live music and games like cornhole. Learn more.
Modesto-area events
Modesto Taco Fest
The Modesto Taco Fest will go from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday on I Street between 11th and 12th streets.
There will be more than 30 food vendors, Chihuahua races, Luchador wrestling, Ballet Folklorico, Salsa dancing, a corn-hole tournament, retail vendors, face painters, a photo booth and live music.
Tickets are $15. Kids under 12 and adults 65 and older get in free. Learn more.
Nuts vs. Ports
The Modesto Nuts take on the Stockton Ports at home on Friday and Saturday nights and Sunday afternoon. Learn more.
