Eisenhower High School Reviews
Rating 3.79 out of 5 357 reviews
I attended Eisenhower for all 4-years of my High school career. The first two years were mainly online, and so I didn't get the real "high school" experience until my junior and senior year. I remember school was safe for a part of my freshman year, but once school was opened, it got dangerous with gang violence and it even leading to a school shooting happening in one of the schools parking lots, leading to a kid dying. I remember that day. I was at after school track practice and it was terrifying. Faculty and staff were fine, but I do feel like they could've done things in different approaches when it came to tardiness and dress code.
I have been enrolled at Eisenhower High School for almost 2 and a half years now, and it has been an amazing experience. I get along with students and staff, and if I need help in any way, I am able to receive it. The education style has changed over the years, and there have been a couple technological issues, seeing as though we are almost fully using technology for daily and homework. There have been a few drug-related problems, but, other than that, student life is extremely positive. From what I can see, students actually enjoy coming to school, and look forward to seeing others throughout the day. In the arena of sports, I have had a positive experience. The teams that I have played on have been uplifting, and I have built great relations through them. Overall, Eisenhower is a safe, positive place to be.
Eisenhower has amazing activities for everyone to do. We have so many clubs to get involved with and we also have the opportunity to make our own clubs if we don’t fit into any other one. My worst experience would probably be with some of the staff. I was taking honors algebra 2 and my teacher didn’t care about helping us out and would get frustrated if someone didn’t understand something. She was very immature and would spend the whole class gossiping with other students instead of being an adult. She was once brought to the administration and got in trouble because a student reported her for not doing her job. Instead of being an adult about it and changing, she decided to take out on her students and cry to us about how unfair it is and punish us. She was gone the next year, she could have been fired or just left. Either way she shouldn’t have been as immature as she was.
