  • Ferdinando Stanley, Lord of Mann, 5th Earl of Derby, 6th Baron Stanley, 13th Baron Strange (1559–1594) Summoned to Parliament in 1588 in his father's Barony of Strange. On his death the Baronies of Stanley, Mohun and Strange (of Knokyn) fell into abeyance between his three daughters.

  • William I Stanley, Lord of Mann, 6th Earl of Derby KG (1584–1642) Purchased the Lordship of the Isle of Man from his nieces and confirmed to him 1609.
  • James I Stanley, Lord of Mann, 7th Earl of Derby, 1st Baron Strange KG (1607–1651) summoned to Parliament in 1627 in error as Baron Strange, thereby creating a new peerage created by writ.
  • Charles Stanley, Lord of Mann, 8th Earl of Derby (1628–1672)
  • William II Richard George Stanley, Lord of Mann, 9th Earl of Derby (1655–1702) On his death the Barony of Strange fell into abeyance between his two daughters, Lady Henrietta Annesley and Lady Elizabeth Stanley;  on the death of Lady Elizabeth in 1714 her elder sister succeeded as suo jure Baroness Strange.
  • James II Stanley, Lord of Mann, 10th Earl of Derby, 6th Baron Strange (1664–1736) succeeded his great niece in 1732 as 6th Baron Strange. Succeeded by James Murray, 2nd Duke of Atholl in the Barony of Strange and the Lordship of Man as heir general and by his 6th cousin and heir male in the Earldom of Derby.
