Ed Hooper (Republican Party) is a member of the Florida State Senate, representing District 21. He assumed office on November 8, 2022. His current term ends on November 5, 2024.
Hooper (Republican Party) is running for re-election to the Florida State Senate to represent District 21. He declared candidacy for the Republican primary scheduled on August 20, 2024.
Hooper is a former Republican member of the Florida House of Representatives, representing District 67 from 2006 to 2014. He served as Deputy Whip. He did not seek re-election in 2014. Hooper served as Vice Mayor of Clearwater from 1999 to 2000 and Commissioner of Clearwater from 1996 to 2000.[1]
Biography
Ed Hooper was born in Statesville, North Carolina. Hooper's career experience includes working as a partner with Consus Group, LLC, and a firefighter. He served as a commissioner on the Clearwater City Council.[2]

Hooper won election in the 2012 election for Florida House of Representatives District 67. Hooper defeated Christopher Shepard in the Republican primary on August 14, 2012, and defeated Ben Farrell (D) in the general election, which took place on November 6, 2012.[3]
