East Los Angeles College Reviews
Rating 3.87 out of 5 1,283 reviews
My personal experience is not that good, because I am an ex gang member and previously incarcerated. I felt that I was singled out because of my past, especially from the administration such as the E.O.P.S program who tried having me thrown out. Once i got to get to know my professor's it made my experience much easier, although I have no love for the administration East Los Angeles College was cool.
Through my three years enrolled at East Los Angeles College, I have taken many classes, some of which I enjoyed and others that I did not. I have had a few professors who gave me a hard time, but apart from those few professors, the rest were nice and responsive. The area in which the campus is located makes it easy for me to get to since there are many bus stops nearby. There are stores inside of the campus, but there are many stores around ELAC that provide food and supplies. Despite some issues I have at ELAC the campus is great and the people and personnel at ELAC are nice and I enjoy studying here.
I was a student at East Los Angeles College when I was a freshman in high school. I was able to attend classes there because I was apart of a Dual Enrollment program. The program provided a list of classes I needed to take to earn college credits and a pathway to complete my GE pathway. My first class was History 12 and as someone who never liked history I enjoyed it! My professor was enthusiatistic and it felt entirely different from history in high school. That experience encouraged me to take more college classes in high school. Because of East Los Angeles College I found an interest in psychology and decieded to find a career to pursue in. When I graduated from high school I decided to continue my enrollment in East Los Angeles College to work towards my AA degree in Psychology.
