From the twisted mind of Matthew Vaughn (Kingsman franchise, Kick-Ass) comes Argylle, a razor-witted, reality-bending, globe-encircling spy thriller.

Bryce Dallas Howard (Jurassic World franchise) is Elly Conway, the reclusive author of a series of best-selling espionage novels, whose idea of bliss is a night at home with her computer and her cat, Alfie. But when the plots of Elly’s fictional books—which center on secret agent Argylle and his mission to unravel a global spy syndicate—begin to mirror the covert actions of a real-life spy organization, quiet evenings at home become a thing of the past.

Accompanied by Aiden (Oscar® winner Sam Rockwell), a cat-allergic spy, Elly (carrying Alfie in her backpack) races across the world to stay one step ahead of the killers as the line between Elly’s fictional world and her real one begins to blur.

  • Directed by: Paola Cortellesi
  • Cast: Paola Cortellesi, Valerio Mastandrea, Romana Maggiora Vergano, Emanuela Fanelli, Giorgio Colangeli, Vinicio Marchioni

Set in the second half of the 40s in Rome, a family divided between the positive push of liberation and the miseries of the recent war.

Delia is Ivano's wife, the mother of three children. Wife, mother. These are the roles that define her and that's enough for her.

Ivano is the supreme leader and master of the family, he works hard to bring the little money home and never misses an opportunity to underline it, sometimes with contemptuous tones, other times, directly with the belt.

Delia's only relief is her friend Marisa, with whom she shares moments of lightness and some intimate confidences.

The arrival of a mysterious letter, however, will ignite the courage to overturn the pre-established plans and imagine a better future, not only for her.

28 Days Later
  • 2002
  • UK
  • 1h 53min

  • Directed by: Danny Boyle
  • Cast: Cillian Murphy, Naomie Harris, David Schneider

The latest project from the filmmakers who brought 'Trainspotting' to the big screen (here collaborating with 'The Beach' author Alex Garland), opens with some rather careless animal rights activists who unwittingly unleash a 'rage virus' on the British populace. Twenty eight days later, cycle courier Jim (Murphy) wakes up from a coma to find the streets of London eerily deserted. That is until the 'infected' start chasing him. Shot entirely on digital video, this post-apocalyptic chiller looks fantastic. But despite some genuinely terrifying scenes, the script lacks coherent development and the dialogue ain't exactly Shakespeare.
