Hi Peter,

This is another amazing Doris Day photo collection.

The behind the scenes Pillow Talk photo of Rock , Doris & Ross Hunter is new to me. It is clear that they had as much fun off the screen as they did in the film.

Doris looks gorgeous in the red coat and black hat. It is a timeless classic look.

I am always happy to see It Happened to Jane photos. It is a beautiful and enjoyable film that deserves more recognition and appreciation. Doris and Jack Lemon really have great chemistry.

I wish the Tunnel of Love film had been filmed in colour. The cast is great buy the script is weak.

The Movieland magazine looks like it is from March 1952-53. I can't find Doris' name on the cover. I wonder if it is Jind Allyson. Doris znd June had a similar look.

The photo of Doris in the white blouse and tie must be a publicity photo. Could it be from 1952?

The Love Me or Leave Me on set photo is interesting. Perhaps it is a rehearsal photo.

The TV Guide photo of Doris with the dogs is one of my all-time favourites.

The 1954 photo of Doris in the black top and white stripes is one of the very rare photos that I think does not flatter Dorid. It is too busy and makes Doris look bigger.

I love the sheet music photos. I have not seen these before.

The 1982 photo of Doris in white pants and dotted top is striking. Doris would have been 70 in 1982 and she looks decades younger.

Thank you again Peter for all your wonderful work.

It is hit and miss with my posting skills. I am trying to post my May 2000 letter from Doris with my address blocked out. I will keep trying.

Have a great weekend. 🌻
Johnny

Hi Johnny,

Always a thrill to hear from you.

This magazine has Doris on the cover. She is wearing a dress that isn't used in April In Paris.

Hi Peter,

The Bert Six photos of Doris are new to me. I checked out Bert Six that said he was a Warner Brothers photographer who took glamorous portraits of major stars of the 1940's and 50's. Some of the actresses he photographed are Bette Davis, Joan Crawford, Gene Tierney, Audrey Hepburn, Lauren Bacall, Olivia De Havilland , Ann Sheridan as well as Dofis. I saw a 1951 photo of Doris that I had not seen before.

Thank you Peter for the information on Doris' magazine cover dress.

I had not heard of Buddy Poppy which I discovered was launched in 1922.It was trademarked in 1924 when disabled veterans assembled VFW Buddy Poppies at the Buddy Poppy factory in Pittsburgh.

The broach Doris is wearing in the Buddy Poppy photos is impressive. I wonder where it is today.

Looking at the Pillow Talk photo with Rock looking at Doris' bracelet, ( helping with it) must be a set photo since Rock is not wearing a jacket and tie. The guy sitting near Rock looks like the actor Ed Begley.

Looking at the It's a Great Feeling photos, Actor Bill Goodwin is featured in three photos. He was born in July 1910 and died in May 1958 at age 47.He was in two other films with Doris which included Tea for Two and Luvky Me.

Looking at the ,"Standard Program Library " is interesting. Is this Warner Brothers music Library?

In the three Tea For Two photos, I was struck by how tall Eve Arden is next to Doris and Billy De Woolf.

Thank you Peter for always surprising us with such interesting photos telling us new stories.

Hi Johnny,

The huge brooch (don't recall to have seen it on other photos) was probably an item used for this photo shoot, Bert Six made some rare and great photos of Doris. But there are also a few odd ones. Strange costumes or props. The Pillow Talk photo you mentioned might be a rehearsal for the shoot. You are spot on that Rock isn't wearing his jacket. So it must be a rehearsal or moment in between filming.

Bill Goodwin was also on radio. After Doris stopped at The Bob Hope Show, Bill Goodwin was added to the cast as the announcer. I have heard many programs with him. He also did other programs. I enjoyed listening to him. The songs on the transcription disc where recorded for using on The Doris Day radio Show. They are now all available on cd... except a version of: "What Every Girl Should Know" Doris recorded it twice with Columbia, but there must be a third version. I hope to find it one Day.

Hi Peter,

In both the beautiful Doris Day promo photos and Please Don't Eat the Dasies photos, Doris is wearing yellow. The colour certainty compliments her sunny personality.

Thank you Peter for following on Instagram. It feels great to stay connected with the Doris Day Forum on other social platforms.

Hi Peter,

You are doing brilliant work keeping Doris Day's beautiful legacy alive with the posting her photo history. This Lover Come Back on-set photo is new to me.

Your postings on Doris' songs is always interesting. I am searching out release information on the new Doris Day album that will have her single recordings from 1957 to 1967.

I tried to find information on Armando Castellon. There is a New York restaurant owner by that name. Regarding Pedro Pietri, I found a person who is a poet born in 1944. It doesn't seem this is the same person.

Thank you.

Have a beautiful weekend. 🌻

Hi Peter,

Both Pillow Talk and Lover Come Back were huge hits for Doris and Rock. Thr critics often mentioned that Lover Come Back was funnier than Pillow Talk. I think these two romantic comedies rank at the top of the best acted and written in Hollywood History.

It looks like Rock is holding a miniature fan for Doris. I don't think this was in the film. It is a really interesting photo.

The trees' buds in Toronto are starting to burst into a vibrant spring green. We have had a lot of sunshine but it remains cool. It it still jacket weather.

Thank you again.
Johnny
