Mike Hale New York Times "Don't Forget the Driver" doesn't make the sort of self-conscious claims to relevance that characterize a lot of television comedies right now, but in its distinct evocation of a place and one small but ornery man, it couldn't be more timely. Sep 14, 2020 Full Review Alastair McKay London Evening Standard It exists within a familiar format -- the six-part comedy. You could argue about the comedy bit, because the laughs are muted, if they are laughs at all. The prevailing moods of this comedy drama are bewilderment and unease. Rated: 4/5 Apr 30, 2019 Full Review Giles Smith Times (UK) Don't Forget the Driver is an exquisitely made comedy drama -- more drama than comedy in these early stages, and bleak as hell. Apr 16, 2019 Full Review Kevin Carr Fat Guys at the Movies It's a sweet story... and rather quite lovely. Rated: 3/4 Mar 25, 2022 Full Review Camilla Long Sunday Times (UK) Technically it's a story about refugees and Brexit, but it is clever enough not to push the point. It isn't funny, more whimsical and light-hearted. Apr 16, 2019 Full Review Euan Ferguson Observer (UK) It might not yet ring funny. It always rings true. Apr 15, 2019 Full Review Read all reviews
