Philip Martin Arkansas Democrat-Gazette ...standard revenge action story that's based on a Stephen King short story. It's a misfire, but... plenty of people will probably get sucked into watching this on cable, but it's hardly worth adding to the Netflix queue. Ted B 3.5 stars; Well, I see the critic(s) are rating this a 2 star movie. I can understand their view that what you got here is the basic ' You killed my wife. So I'm going to track you down and kill you.' revenge action movie. I actually like that theme in some movies, especially Western's. I love my wife and would probably do the same. So that's worth 3 stars for me. But why 3.5 stars? It's because of the outstanding job Christian Slater did as the villain you really love to hate. To make a plot like that work, that's the kind of villain you have to have. The hot desert theme also gave the movie it's own special torment for the characters. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 06/26/23 Full Review steve d Not even the normally effective Christian Slater works here. Overacted in the extreme. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review philip w Started off ok — but the scene outside the hotel was a joke - bullets flying at the suv — no tyres punctured and no marks on paintwork - put me right off - how stupid was that — could someone tell me why that was please ? Turned off Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 09/19/22 Full Review Audience Member Another not-so-good Christian Slater film where he does a great job but it couldn't help the film with it's weak story, bad execution, and stupid ending.
