Osgoode Hall Law School offers students an extraordinary legal education. Our internationally renowned three-year Juris Doctor (JD) program provides a rich, innovative and interdisciplinary experience that exposes students to a broad array of perspectives. Throughout our curriculum, theory, practice and reflective assessment are integrated so students can develop a solid foundation in legal reasoning, build practical skills and gain an appreciation for the ethical dimensions of law and the legal profession. Our full-time professors and part-time faculty of practising lawyers and judges are among the country's top legal scholars and practitioners. We prepare our students to enter the legal profession with a unique combination of thoughtful and practical skills. The law degree has two different roles. It is an academic discipline worthy of study in its own right as well as a necessary preliminary for entry to the legal profession. It is a fascinating subject, with a great tradition and dynamic future. Whether you are advocating for the rights of an environmentally sensitive ecosystem or weighing freedom of expression with the right to privacy, there will be something to challenge your interests.
