The 11 best nightlife in Gulf Shores

Had an awesome time here! The food was pretty good, but the price was a bit high. We all really enjoyed the entertainment. My son was thrilled and smiled non-stop as they got him to dance on top of the table for his birthday. Then the kids went outside and had a blast in the foam. Good drinks and lots to do outside. A band usually plays at night. The parking is $20, but we easy found a place to park near by for free. You can also easily walk in from the beach.

DJ is excellent as were the wait staff. We had 2 tables with 22 people and our waitress Amanda was outstanding. She had help bringing dishes out, but took all of the drink, appetizer and food orders. Everything was served promptly, everything was hot and we all could not have been more pleased. The menu options were good as was meal prep. I highly recommend this place for a fun & relaxing time with good food and drinks. Margaritas were EXCELLENT.

This place was full of fun and everyone that was there seemed to enjoy it. The food was good, Service was Great and the entertainment was even better. The kids loved the foam party. And definitely I recommend trying the virgin Strawberry daiquiri for your children. They were very yummy. I will say the fried pickles were a small portion, but pretty good. The chicken Nacho was huge. Pay attention as you walk through the property. Because there are lots of little hidden gems. But this is a must Do While in the area. We would definitely make sure to fit this in next time we go back.

Such a fun place to visit with kids. We vacation in Gulf Shores several times a year and the kids always ask to go here. Usually we will do the Princess and Pirates breakfast. We happened to be vacationing during Easter so we did the Easter brunch complete with an Easter egg hunt and a visit with the Easter bunny. The food is always good and served quickly. This time we added the banana French toast to our meal and it did not disappoint. The kids love the wishing wall and always have to write down their wish before we leave. The sand mountain and foam area are big hits with the little kiddos. The bathrooms are always very well maintained. We have yet to get a waiter or waitress that was not just absolutely wonderful. They have a great gift shop as well although we usually try to avoid that if possible. There is a wide food and drink selection and we rarely have to wait very long for our orders.

The HANGOUT is always a great time! No matter what time of the year they offer fun activities for the whole family or a girls night out! I absolutely love their burgers and I tried one of their cocktails for the first time and it was delicious. 10/10 recommend but not if you want to talk a lot because there is always some loud live music or a person on the mic making the atmosphere fun. You can always go to the beach after eating tho to enjoy some quieter conversations. Definitely gotta give this one a try, it’s a must in this area!

We enjoyed lunch here on a Saturday. It wasn’t overly busy and we’re seated without a wait. There is a 20$ parking fee. They do give a ticket to be able to use 20$ towards a purchase in the gift shop. If you’re going there to enjoy lunch and beach or the live music later in the day it’s not a bad idea to use the parking, but just for lunch find alternate parking. The food came out extremely fast so if you’re in a hurry or want to get to the beach quickly, they did a good job getting us in and out. We had snapper po boys which were a little in the dry side. Also had crab legs which were seasoned well and had quite a bit of butter or oil on them. Definitely needed plenty of napkins. The atmosphere is as enjoyable and was the DJ had just come out so I’m sure it was about to get better! The gift shop had lots of souvenirs labeled with “The Hangout”,- there actually wasn’t much that didn’t have it. We enjoyed our visit and would go back.

Our first time here, and it was amazing! The view is absolutely the best! I got the pork nachos which are listed as an appetizer, but I got it as a meal. It was HUGE and way more than I could eat. And really good! Hubby got shrimp and said it was very good. It was late afternoon so not busy at all. Open air seating which I love and they have the biggest ceiling fan I've ever seen in my life! Highly recommend!

I have never been to a place like this before. The atmosphere was incredible! They had people dancing, both on the ground and their tables, they had live music, a gift really cool gift shop, the decorations were awesome! I can’t say enough good things about this place. I wish we had gone more times. The food. Was. Amazing! We ordered the chicken nachos and fried pickles for an appetizer. Both incredible! We also got the Shaka sauce and I dipped the nachos in it. Highly recommend! My husband just got a cheeseburger for dinner but said it was amazing! I ordered the shrimp and it came with so much food! Dining in here was definitely an experience. An experience that everyone should have in their lives!

The place is cool & interactive. Lots of things to keep busy, live music,selfie ops.The mixed drinks are not that good. Food was decent. We went about 7pm took over an hour to be seated. The trampoline & foam machines were down. Lots of things to buy in court yard.(toys,candy,shirts) kept having to drag my 3 yr old from this area, he kept wanting to grab toys from the bins out front. When we went it was busy so that could be why put of the eight orders we made, one was forgotten, she got her food a few minutes before everyone was finished eating.

This was my first time at The Hangout. We waited for about 10 minutes before we were seated. Our food was quick and DELICIOUS!!! I recommend The Lifeguard burger.....AMAZING!!! There is so much to do here, the live music was wonderful, and the interactive singing and dancing at the tables is fun for kids and adults. This is by far my favorite place in Gulf Shores now!!

This was a great choice even though it looked like a tourist trap. The food was excellent- my Cobb Salad with Blackened Shrimp was one of the best meals I’ve had on this trip. Kids popcorn shrimp was a hit- served in a popcorn bag, when you poor it out you find fried shrimp, fries and popcorn! Burger and chicken tenders were also good. Only drawbacks were 1 no brewed ice tea (only fountain 👎) and 2 the music was a bit too loud. The kids sand play area let the adults have a conversation and the children got to run and play. The bubble party (every hour on the hour) was a hit too. Just come in clothes that can get rinsed later. Yard games too. Parking was $20, but you got a voucher for souvenir store also worth $20 so super worth it. Parking is a premium in gulf shores so this was really handy. We went down to the beach after lunch and enjoyed time in the water. Easy access and rinsing stations. After the beach we popped back into the Hangout and bought gelato. What a great idea. It seemed a bit pricey but was really good.

First off if your unfamiliar with the place was we were coming in your lost on where to go. Once you make it to the restaurant entrance you'll be looking for the big hostess sign hanging from the ceiling. It's on the opposite side of the building. Food was decent. Definitely a happening place. I had no idea I'd be standing on my table dancing because my birthday was coming soon. For sure a good place to visit while in town.

Interesting experience for sure. Food was good. Service was good. Atmosphere was crazy wild, but Fun. Dancing on chairs and tables. 😆 Mary was an excellent waitress. Phenomenal, top notch! Loved all the outside activities, until I was approached by a big security guard who singled me out of our group of 8 and asked for only my ID. Then proceeded to touch my arm without permission. Very odd and uncalled for. Not to mention I had my two teenage daughters with me, so I just don't believe he actually thought I was underage 🤷🏽‍♀️ my husband definitely did not appreciate it. However we didn't let it ruin the evening.

Open air, loud and party atmosphere. Panoramic views of the beach and a big open dining room with plenty of seating and a Best Buy load of TVs. We ordered the pimento cheese dip and it was the best part of our meal. The Wagyu Beef Burger was forgettable. Enclosed in a day old bun. It was cooked properly though. The Hangout Cesar with Blackened Salmon was average. We did not finish our meals but had no desire to bring any of it back home. Our server Ron was absolutely on point and his service and attention was second to none. BRAVO Ron. The Hangout is clearly geared to a party, big frozen adult beverage crowd. That’s fine if that’s your thing. Come expecting loud Fat Tuesday like environment. Don’t expect much from the food and you’ll be satisfied.

The restaurant is incredibly family-friendly, with great views and an awesome courtyard that adds to the beachy vibe. We couldn't get enough of the live music band, and being directly on the beach just elevated the experience to another level! Our visit to The Hangout truly highlighted our entire trip to Gulf Shores, making it unforgettable. We're already planning our next trip back because it was that amazing! And let's talk about the drinks – they're strong and absolutely delicious. Best service we had in Orange Beach. Other restaurants weren't bad, it is just that everyone at Live Bait was amazing. They were professional, friendly, and fast. We watched the guys cleaning tables, and they never stopped. We were so impressed overall that we asked to speak to the manager and praised the staff. I figure that since I complain when service is bad, it would be good to commend when it is top notch. We ordered gator bait bites for an app. They were good. Our table had the grouper tacos, bayou nachos, Megalodon platter, and seafood pasta. Those items are pictured. Two of our sons shared the platter and had leftovers. Everything was delicious and filling. 10/10 will eat again.

I sat at the bar for dinner since it was just me dining tonight, and the bartender working was terribly not interested in doing his job. Zero personality, took forever to take my order. No refill offered on my empty tea, I had to ask for napkins and never checked to see how my meal was. Having said all of that, the 1 lbs steamed shrimp dinner was outstanding. Very nice sized shrimp seasoned and cooked to perfection.

My first visit to Live Bait Restaurant was a mixed experience. While the crab cakes were not the best I've had, the fish bites on the menu exceeded my expectations and left a positive impression. The customer service was a highlight, as the staff was friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome and comfortable. One of the most enjoyable aspects of the evening was the live music. The entertainment added a wonderful ambiance to the dining experience, making it even more enjoyable. Overall, Live Bait Restaurant has potential, and I'd be willing to return for the excellent customer service and lively atmosphere, even though some dishes didn't quite hit the mark.

These are the new menu under new management. My French dip was so salty I could barely eat it. The fries were soggy. The restaurant was very slow. When we needed things our waitress never returned. She was sitting in the lobby. I hope new management takes this into consideration. For how slow they were our service should have been amazing. The food should have been fresh.

This was one of my favorite spots to stop for food on our trip. The atmosphere was awesome. The kids really loved the fish tank and the sharks all over. The food was really good, my wife had the Mahi Mahi, and I had the grouper bites. My wife's food was the best Mahi I have ever had. I was trying to get the gator poboy, but they ran out minutes before I could order sadly. Great place to take the family!

Disappointed. I specifically asked if the seafood was fresh before I ordered. I was told yes. Sadly it was not. For the quality of food they are over priced. The alligator bites are disgusting. My grilled scallops were chewy and undercooked. The brussel sprouts seemed slimy, not sure what the sauce was on it but for sure been sitting around for some time. The fish and chips, fish was ok - yet the fries were old tasting. Mac and cheese was also old tasting. Weird sauce on the grouper tacos. I think it was the same as what they out on Brussels sprouts. When we left there were tables from others with lots of fish left on their plates.

Not really sure what's with all the negative reviews, other than it has fairly recently changed hands and is not the same restaurant as before. It's been 10 years since I was here last, and I do remember it being fine, not enough to compare it to what it is now. But, this review is based on my most recent dinner experience. And it was overall great! Our waitress was also a bartender, and the other bartender also checked in on us. They got busier and still managed to take care of us, too! We took forever to order so we appreciated the patience and helpfulness. Those ladies were hustling, though! I will say dinner options didn't seem overly appealing for whatever reason, hence why it took us so long to order, but the appetizers sounded amazing! So my husband and I opted for a few of those to share for our meals instead. We each started with a caesar salad. My husband had a dryer salad and mine definitely had a lot more dressing, but we were both satisfied with those. I actually prefer more dressing. Then we shared several appetizers following the salads. We ordered the calamari, the portion was a bit small, but the breading was light and crispy. We also got the 1/2 pound Crab Claws - sautéed style (maybe about 30 smaller claws, I had expected fewer and larger ones instead) but they were delicious. Lots of garlic and butter! We also had the Firecracker Shrimp and Rockefeller Oysters. My husband ordered the "Shark bite" mixed drink special. He said it was great. I had really wanted Rosé wine, but they didn't have much of a wine selection. A few whites and maybe a red. I settled for beer instead. All in all, it was all good and there were no leftovers!

Great place! Fun for the whole family! Had a group of 10. Good food and drinks. Live music was awesome and took requests. Lots of live turtles and half our group rode the shark! Lots of fun!!

We just stopped for a snack. I have a half dozen oysters and they were huge! Wife had a salad. We did not check out the club or the outdoor section. The staff was very attentive and our food was delicious. Beer selection was decent and cold

Not a bad seafood experience. Fried oysters had good taste and breading. The brussel sprouts had good flavor but were a little tough to chew. The Shark Bait drink was actually pretty good. There's a nightclub section behind the main building if that's your thing. There's a mechanical shark for riding as well.

If you like great seafood and live country music then this is the spot for you. But then you walk in and you kinda see that it is set up more to be a nice family sit down place. That atmosphere can be a bit confusing with what you see and what you get. It can be a little too loud. But then we're here for food and they sure didn't miss the mark on that. Although, we could use more alcohol in our cocktails. But for the price of the seafood and the flavors and amount you get for it, it's definitely worth the visit. And definitely don't miss the $5 bout with the mechanical shark.

The Thrashcan Nachos were AMAZING! We chose chicken over beef, and the chicken was well seasoned. The service was great, even at closing. Our waitress was courteous, attentive, and knowledgeable. We will definitely return when we come back to the area. Oh yea, get the brownie with ice cream. You can thank me later!

The atmosphere is fun and the kids enjoyed putting their names on the walls! Shrimp and grits were delicious! The shrimp po’boy was flavorful and tasty! And we tried the gator bites for fun and the kids even liked them!

Great food and great service! No wait for a table and food arrived quickly. The fried pickles and green tomatoes were great appetizers and only $5 during happy hour. The Mexican garbage nachos were amazing and the portion was enough to easily feed 4 people

We went here after the team game, and it was a great experience. Everyone seemed to have enjoyed their food. No complaints from what I saw. We were a party of about 40 so there were plenty of dishes ordered. I managed to go around a snap a few pictures of some of the food for you all. Glad they were able to accommodate our entire party.

Gulf Shores and Orange Beach staple with outdoor seating overlooking the water. Daily specials like prime rib make this a go to spot for an affordable tasty lunch and dinner. Be sure to try the tacky shrimp, it's spicy and delicious over rice. Also try one of the best burgers in town with two smashed patties and homemade chips.

Food was sub par. Thought we were going to a local hidden jewel. Unfortunately the food was about as exciting as a Long John Silvers. I happen to love Long John Silvers, so this place was not as good. Purchased a fish and shrimp combo platter for $25 dollars. We were expecting a big platter for sharing, but the plate looked personal portioned. It tasted like frozen grocery store fried fish and shrimp. Mexican Garbage Nachos were a decent bang for 18 dollars, but were saturated in grease. Wife liked the fish tacos, I wasn’t impressed. Water is straight from the tap and definitely not filtered. Pappadeaux’s is 1000 times a better seafood restaurant in a Texas metropolitan area 600 miles from a coast. I guess I expected more from a coastal seafood restaurant.

I’m giving the food 4 stars, Service 2 & the atmosphere 5. We knew the wait was going to be somewhat longer that expected being a touristy establishment on the canal - with live music (which was great) the night we went. Our wait was an hr and a half so we got a drink and enjoyed the music and view. Once we were seated our waitress asks if we had a chance to look at the menu because she suggested we get our orders in due to the kitchen being backed up. I think she meant well, but I would have appreciated her to suggest some appetizers and get our drinks prior to trying to herd us like cattle. The place is huge and could have possibly been understaffed, I’m not sure, however it is a cool place to check out. The kids enjoyed the gift shop OFC and the playground. I thought the food was great, portions were decently sized. Hopefully we can give this place another shot on a not so busy evening soon.

Chocolate lava desert Amazing fried gatobites !!!! Yum yum yum AMAZING!!!! fried oysters weren't done enough or flavorful at all for me. Fries, chicken, fish all perfectly cooked. Outdoor seating with heating lamps. Watched a tug boat float by. Birds, old mossy tree that makes me think of home. Think old Savannah georgia meets Panama city feel. Loved it. Will absolutely return. 💯 thank y'all for an amazing experience

We all enjoyed breakfast. The garbage breakfast burrito is not very big but tasty, so plan on ordering something to go with it. The farmers omelet, biscuits and gravy and chicken and waffles were excellent.

Great food! Looks like a fun place! We ate lunch here while on vacation. It looks like it would be a hopping fun place in the summer! We got greeted immediately at sat immediately. Liza was our sever…she was great! She went back to check on allergy ingredients for Hubby and he was safe! I had the special, Shrimp, sausage grits with hush puppies. It was amazing! The grits were almost like a gumbo! Hubby had grilled popcorn shrimp (first time he has ever had it offered grilled and he loved it!) hush puppies, and grits. We definitely will eat here again on our next vacation next year!

Absolutely love the atmosphere here!! We couldn’t of asked for a better view for dinner. The food was fantastic and so was the service. Check ‘em out if your ever in Alabama

We were just starving after the beach and found this very attractive place so we tried it. The food was good, the ambience was nice but what sold me out was the people working there. Addi is a great hostess, Gabby is an awesome server and everyone is very helpful. In fact, I’m writing this review while I’m still dining with them. Kudos to all!

Fish Tacos yum!! We went an hour before closing and it was still very well lively with a band playing and a family friendly atmosphere. Our waitress was very nice and both of our meals were affordable and delicious. There was a lot of space for seating with several levels and it was a bright inviting atmosphere and when you finish eating they provide you with strips of tape where you can write on and stick somewhere around you. I will definitely be back !

Come here for good vibes and great food, right on the water! We had a super nice and attentive waiter and watching all the yachts and jetskis float by was so nice. Good prices, and their Mexican garbage and gator bites were great! Plenty of gluten-free options and an altogether great restaurant.

(9-14-23) I had never been to this place before. I've been to the original location many times. This location is extremely nice! Beautiful view of the Intercoastal Waterway! I ordered my favorite breakfast, the Farmers Breakfast, plus a side of gravy. My Server, Maddy, was excellent! She provided very friendly and attentive service! My food was served quickly, and it was hot and delicious! The view from my table, plus the great service and delicious food, made this a very pleasant dining experience! Maddy gave me a coupon for 5% off in the gift shop. I bought an awesome T-shirt!

Soooo disappointed... I've been waiting to try this place out because I've heard from few people that this place been around for many years! Ok.. came in. Got greeted by the door by a lady who asked us we wanted to sit outside or inside. We picked indoor because outside was very crowded. Placed the order for an appetizer fried gator. It was not bad. Placed the order after trying to find what they still had because the waiter kept saying: we don't have that at the moment or we're out of it.. we got a Cajun nachos, Sourdough Burger and grouper poboy. Food was terrible! No flavor. Shrimp in nachos was not done. Grouper was not done. Burger literally had toasted bread, patty and cheese. Nothing else! Dry that you can't even swallow. Soooo disappointed! Waiter never came back and checked on how the food was and after we set there for good 15-20 min I finally walked up to the bar and asked for our check. I did tell them that Shrimp wasn't done at all and they took that off the ticket. Left still hungry after paying 68$ for nothing...Definitely not coming back here again.

Perfect lunch spot! Po boys are awesome. Both the fried shrimp and roast beef hit the spot. The entire menu looks awesome. Service was friendly and prompt. Everything that came out of the kitchen looked like we wanted to try it! Lots of drinks choices and the deck seating overlooking the beach is perfect.

This place was okay. Cute & fun atmosphere, decent food but nothing too really brag about. The operating hours on Google are correct, not the website. While our server was friendly & pleasant, after we got our food we didn't see him but maybe right after to ask how we liked our food (but he checked on us plenty before we received our food). It wasn't until my husband & I started killing time on our phones did he come by with the check.

Hmm plastic tables n chairs? 🤔 looked like a party was about to happen then didn't. Outside had picnic tables that was ok. The nachos with shrimp and crawfish was just ok. Server was really nice.

Unfortunately the weather didn't allow seating on the patio. The servers are so nice & quickly served our table with drinks. Every table was full. Our meal selections were whisked from the kitchen in minutes.Each plate was fantastic. Highly recommend dining here. Efficient & friendly staff. Well done everyone!

It was a beautiful sunny day and it was great to sit outside on the deck, eat and enjoy the waterfront view. We only had to wait about 5 minutes to be seated outside. Food was good, not great. I wish they had more options on their menu. I got bbq shrimp (nothing bbq about it as it sits in a butter sauce) and Cole slaw. The shrimp and cole slaw were good. (Most times people mess up Cole slaw) My husband got the grilled fish basket and the fish was too greasy. But the view was fantastic.

Small, vintage burger and beach bar appropriately on the beach. First time visit and was satisfied with the quantity and quality of the food. Enjoyed some chargrilled oysters (slightly over charred) and a blackened grouper sandwich (on a bun like a good beach sandwich). Despite a wait of 45 minutes, it was worth it. Staff was friendly and attentive despite the full and very busy restaurant. Recommend stopping by when you visit Gulf Shores.

We enjoyed our meal! Stephanie our server was attentive and so positive. Their order system allowed them to order straight from the table which made service fast and efficient. Will be back

Food was great and my server was awesome only Giving 4 because the tables were like card playing white tables with bingo chairs 🤣 was expecting a lil more professionalism since I drove 3hrs to the place but goof food good music and great servers

We were just going for drinks and appetizers as we walked along the beach. Oddly enough the bartender made excellent espresso martinis. The chicken nachos were HUGE and our server Damien was very friendly and efficient. Would definitely go again!

A bet was made and Pink Pony Pub - World Famous Beach Bar won: their garlic cheese curds measure up to my Wisconsin standards. The crab claws, tuna dip, and ocean-side seating just make it even better!

Food great and service was as well. Minus a really rude staff member that raised their voice because she was "behind" us with her tray of food. Not knowing our party didn't know what she was talking about except for myself and former server. Missed out on buying T shirts because of her rude comments so we just kindly left. But great views so I would go back just for that, Just brush up on your restaurant lingo !

We came and ordered: Blue crab dip- 3/5 stars. Not great but not bad. Pear and Pecan Salad- 3/5. Had to ask for the goat cheese that is supposed to come on it, not a problem but it’s a pretty simple salad and I saw that another person had an issue with not receiving the dressing. The salad was okay tasting but the spring mix had a weird texture. Grouper w/ mushroom risotto- 4/5 delicious!! Grouper was crispy and well cooked. The risotto melted in your mouth. I could’ve ate a whole meal of just the risotto. Also got 2 beers and a Bellini. So why only 3 stars? The service and food were just okay. Service was fast. We loved the live music. Definitely overpriced. AND we were charged $4 for splitting a salad and entree. We would’ve split it ourselves had we known this was such an inconvenience haha! Additionally, we were charged another $3 “non-cash” fee. The consensus was we would not come back.

Prime rib special was wonderful. Suggestion, get the prime rib a little less temperature than you normally order and ask for it to be seasoned and seared. Nice salad with actual toppings vs the normal only spring mix. $2.50 Drink special options nice addition- limit 2 per person. Outside seating by the water was nice. Would've given this review a 5 if the live music could've been heard outside and the service was a little more attentative throughout the meal.

I ordered the shrimp basket, my wife ordered the crab cake. The menu said the shrimp basket came with just fries so I ordered the house salad also. When the shrimp basket came it had fries and coke slaw, no side salad. Shrimp was plentiful but rubbery. Still edible. Fries and coke slaw were fine. Wife's crab cake was just mushy. The server stopped by and I pointed out no side salad. He said he would make sure I didn't pay for it. As we finished the meal a different server showed up with salad. I told him it was cancelled. When the server brought me the bill he pointed out that he had saved me money by taking the salad off the bill. The salad that I didn't eat that came at the end of the meal. They were busy though.

Unfortunately no pictures of the food but we had the following and dinner was so good! Fried green tomatoes: our favorite! Oysters Rockefeller: tasty Gumbo: thick chowder that had a kick to it. Special: was a bacon wrapped filet mignon with potato hash, deep fried crawfish and asparagus. This was perfect 👍🏽 Seafood pasta: creamy and flavorful Fried flounder and hush puppies: 4 pieces of flounder fried with a perfectly light crust; hush puppies were also light, sweet and fluffy. Shrimp and grits: grits were creamy and shrimp was cooked perfectly. Live entertainment was a nice surprise. They have live entertainment every evening according to our very friendly waitress. Service was great too!

We came in here on a slow and slightly rainy Monday for lunch and IMMEDIATELY we're greeted with one of the best experiences I've ever had dining out. We sat at the bar, and our server/bartender CJ (and his lovely coworker, I can't remember her name though, I apologize CJ and Team!!) were so friendly and also very knowledgeable. He recommended drinks based on what we like and they were perfect, and he explained the menus and specials in perfect detail too. The food was phenomenal! I had the special which was a "pulled pork po boy". It was so good, and I was stuffed, I couldn't finish it. We're so happy we stopped in to lunch here and I highly recommend.

Anna Lynn was amazing!! Food was delicious. The short Rib Nachos were outstanding and large enough to be a meal. Ginny Lane Burger was one of the best I have had. I highly recommend eating here. It’s right on the Marina which adds to the already great atmosphere.

For the most part my visit here was very pleasant, the food was a hit! I suggest the shrimp & grits, it was probably the best I've ever had. The only negative thing I can say is our waiter was a little non-existent but it may have just been one of those days. The best part was while leaving we mistakenly left our credit card and the manager came running out after our vehicle. If you are looking for good music and food give this place a try.

We had a great meal at Ginny Lane. The staff were all very helpful and attentive. Gi Gi our waitress was great, she checked on us often. We all had the shrimp special tonight different ways, we all loved it. We got the crab dip and some hush puppies as an appetizer, they were very good. We started watching the LSU game there and didn't want to make to much of a scene when something good happened. It was a great experience, I highly recommend.

With the exception of a longer than normal wait time to be offered drinks, (gentlemen who seated us finally returned & took our drink order) and another wait for our waitress to make an appearance & take our order, the rest of our visit & our food was exceptional! The lunch specials we had (kickin chicken & pan seared fish) and the sides were all nicely prepared & very delicious! The muffins & cinnamon sugar served with the meal was like dessert, so yummy! Our waitress was very sweet & friendly (don’t recall her name) so more than made up for our initial wait, we were treated with southern hospitality at its finest! Thank you so much!

This place wasn’t great at all. The lower Alabama burger wasn’t bad. I would give it a 7. Bacon jam was the highlight. The pork spare rib nachos damn near made me puke. The spare rib meat tasted and smelled like tuna helper. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. My bushwacker gets an A+ for alcohol content. That thing could jump start any rusty car setting in a field. But had too much ice and tasted like it had whiskey in it. Wouldn’t recommend this place.

Pros: Server Rohan was great! I had pecan crusted chicken and spouse had fried oysters. Other than that, needs more seasoning and hush puppies overcooked, food was good. $4 house wine this evening Staff friendly, prices good! Cons: Too dark inside. Would have preferred better lighting Parking is not the best when crowded Would come here again yes. Would have given a 5 star rating if not for good being unseasoned.

Great bar for the locals and tourists. We were just driving through the Warf during lunch time and decided to pop in. So glad we did! Food was amazing and the server was so nice/helpful. They sat us by the windows in the back so we could see the boats. Ordered a couple of appetizers for lunch... the fried green tomatoes, short rib nachos, and side salads. Super tasty 😋

This is one of the cleanest, well taken care of beaches I've seen. The sand is like powder. Sidewalks and grassy areas. Plenty of restrooms, benches to sit on and shaded areas. Showers to get the sand off. Lots of room for everyone. A hidden treasure.

We visited for spring break and delighted to see that it was not crowded like we anticipated. The weather was 75-80⁰ during the day and 60⁰at night. It was warm enough for shorts and t- shirt daily then a light jacket at night. The Gulf was cool but enjoyable after warming up in the sun. The water had small waves that my 8 and 9 yr old girls had a blast with! Plenty of eateries close by to walk straight from the beach to a bite to eat! It is fun for all ages!

My husband and I loved this beach. We have seen prettier beaches in Florida, but Gulf Shores definitely did not disappoint. It was better than expected for it to be in Alabama. VERY CLEAN! Trash cans are everywhere, so please continue to keep the beaches clean by cleaning up after yourself. The water was a bit murky on the first day we went, but on the second and last day, it was so clear and beautiful. We saw birds fishing and even a dolphin a few times. This beach is within walking distance of several shops and eateries. Parking is limited, and you must pay to park or risk being ticketed. Very relaxing and laid-back atmosphere. This is a VERY family-friendly beach.

I absolutely love being at a beach and it not beimg over crowded with people! The white sand and cool water made my Christmas so special and I am forever grateful for this time. @8robinsonstv needed the time away and Gulf Shores Beach delivered

Very nice place to visit the beach. The restrooms were clean easy to get to. Has a rope climbing spot for the kids which was awesome. Safe area with plenty of friendly pleasant people.

Beautiful clean white sandy beach. Not as many sea shells as Cotton Bayou but how am I supposed to know what a reasonable amount of shells one should expect at any beach. What I'm trying to say is this was a nice beach and we had lots of fun spending the day building sand castles and running into the waves. I'm certain you will too!

Gulf Shores beach is an absolute paradise! The sunsets are breathtaking and the fact that we had the entire beach basically to ourselves made it an even more special experience. The sand was soft and white, which was the perfect contrast to the blue waters. It's the perfect place to relax and soak in the beauty of nature. I highly recommend this beach to anyone looking for a serene and picturesque getaway. Five stars!

Normally I'm not a public beach guy just because of how crowded I've seen them. However, the public access beach off West Beach Blvd was an exception. I was there on July 4th and it wasn't anymore crowded than the beachs at the luxury condos I've stayed at in the same area. We had a house on the Bay Side and it was super beautiful and convenient. Changed my perspective for sure.

The Gulf Shores public beach at the intersection of Gulf Shores Parkway (Hwy 59) and West Beach Blvd is one of the nicest white sand beaches I've ever visited. The beach is very deep, making tons of room for everyone, and the boardwalk is really nice with its cool shade awnings, grassy areas, picnic tables, shower stations, and recently updated restrooms. Plus, there are several good beachside restaurants that you can walk to for some food, beverages, and fun things to do for the kids. The whole town of Gulf Shores is a cool little beach town with a laid back vibe and friendly locals who want to make your stay enjoyable.

Truly a blessing to live in such a beautiful place. Everyone should go to Gulf shores beaches especially when I'm able to enjoy the scenery as well as make a bit of money I'm the process!!!

Yes, of course it was windy and cold. Beautiful weather, the beach is gorgeous white. The water is mesmerizing. No people, traffic, or trash. I enjoyed myself tremendously.

The Good: Food was excellent and would eat here again based on the food. Had gumbo and 2 fried seafood baskets of oysters, shrimp, and chicken. Really enjoyed the food. The Bad: Seated at 6:45 and food came at 8:33. That's an insane amount of time for fried food and gumbo that is already made. Would have been nice for someone to acknowledge the wait by checking on us, offering a drink, or taking our drinks off the check but not here. Not the waitresses fault as she was overly worked. The bill included a 3.5% charge for non cash payments. This was included on our bill but was not removed when we paid cash. Bill included in pictures. I can't recommend this restaurant based on service.

Amazing food! Sliders are amazing. Flounder portion is huge!! Shrimp is amazing. Try the buffalo. Bob the gator is out back. Look for him. And if you're fortunate enough to meet Apollo the Indian ringneck please say hi!!

We wanted Po-Boys and Oysters - so this was the natural choice! We also love the fun atmosphere with dollar bills and drawings. We were excited to see a few new items on the menu and got the Fried Okra for an appetizer. The Gumbo and Shrimp Po-boy spot on and the Oysters fresh. The restaurant was very busy while we were there. Our server Chris stayed on top of it all and did it with a smile- and he was slammed. Seems like it is always stupid busy now for brunch and dinner times. Will make it a point to go during mid-afternoon.

Great food and service! We will definitely be going back when we visit Orange Beach again. Don't let the decor scare you off, take a seat and enjoy some delicious food!

Hunter, our server, forgot about us. I had to go looking for him for a drink, then our food and then to pay. I was very shocked our food was warm. It took an hour to get our food, so either he forgot to put our order in or the kitchen was super slow. Food was super good. We sat outside.

Absolutely enjoy my time here… I’m not sure what it is about a dive bar but you just feel close to it! Chris and Malyn took VERY great Care of me and my girl Sandy. I had a Sierra Hazy IPA, a dozen oysters along with a cup of gumbo and a Bloody Mary made by Chris who over heard that I never had one before! Enjoyed learning about the conecuh sausage made in the sweet home of Alabama! It was such a great experience! Will be back to grab a dozen more oysters and kick it with the flying harpoon 2 crew thanks! 🙏🏽

Went on a night they aren't usually open and even with short staff and long wait, the food was definitely worth the wait. Excellent seafood. Jennifer was running one level alone as well as the bar for the entire restaurant and she was calm , cool and collected. Will be back for sure.

Was good. Unique little place. Food is made fresh from scratch so it takes awhile to get your food. Good service too.

First, we went during lunch and service was a little slow. But there was only one woman manning the bar and serving all the tables. So I definitely told her some slack. And the wait was not terrible by any means. But we would have ordered more drinks had we had the chance. In any event, we saw this place from the road and just loved the "dive bar" look. Plus they claim to have the best po boys within 70 miles. I ordered the half and half po boy, which was half fried shrimp and half fried oysters. Dang it was delicious. The French bread has the perfect crunch and the seafood was fresh and lightly fried. Honestly, I could eat one everyday. It was pricey, but so worth it. And they had some decent selections of kids food like chicken and fried fish to satisfy my kids. I recommend stopping just for the local vibes alone.

Wonderful experience! We stepped into a world of live music and a feeling of home. Definitely go on a Sunday afternoon and use the upstairs entrance. The fried platter was exceptional! I'll definitely be back!

Wide variety of beers available! We purchased 2 flights because there were so many flavors we wanted to try. We ended up liking most of them-even the sours which we don't usually prefer. The bartender was friendly and helpful with recommendations. Indoor seating and a nice outdoor patio area for nice weather days.

Great brewery and friendly staff! They had 10 beers on tap as well as a couple of wine options. There is quite a bit if indoor seating and there's a lot of outdoor seating. You can do four sample flights there as well if you just want to try some stuff. They have cans available for purchase as well to take home. Highly recommend!

This is a must stop if you are into craft beers. We tried four different beers, and they were all delicious. The bartender was very nice, and he had a lot of knowledge of their products. The atmosphere was great. We sat outside on the upper deck and then moved downstairs. The weather was perfect, and the boys found a new friend to play cars with. Very kid friendly, several families were hanging out.

What a great brewery! Definitely an awesome place to go and catch up with friends or watch a game on one of their awesome TVs! The atmosphere is perfect! The guys serving the beer could not have been more helpful and just all around nice guys! Last but not least the beer is really good and I would totally recommend this place to anyone visiting Gulf Shores!

Great venue!!! Live Music!!! Nice outdoor area. Food truck. And beer. All the ingredients of a fun brewery. The food truck menu is always changing and the food is very good. The beer is good quality that represents the styles well. Good variety of styles and regular beer releases. Wine is available for non beer drinkers. Large TV’s for sports.

Great place to chill. Dog friendly. Great beers. They had a food truck out front that opened at 4:30pm. They were excellent as well. I would highly recommend coming when in the area. They have huge TVs for games inside but if you’re looking for a nice quiet place to sit and have a beer, the beautiful outside sitting area is for you. The staff were really friendly as well.

We love visiting Big Beach Brewery. The beer is always fantastic with a great variety of styles. Bartenders are always friendly and helpful. The taproom is wonderful amd clean as well as the patio. Both with plenty of seating areas for large or intimate groups. We love that they regularly have live music and food trucks on the weekends. Always a good time.

I really enjoyed the beers (the Area Two Fifty-One hazy IPA and the Notoberfest marzen). Nice location, good atmosphere, friendly staff.

This is one of my all time favorite places in Gulf Shores. The beer is quality and the staff is wonderful. Aesthetically it has both small town beach charm and modern craft beer decor. On many nights you can catch live music or other festivities. Plus, you can come hungry on Thursdays through the weekend because they have a bespoke food truck (called Nom Nom) with an incredible rotating menu. If you are local you will always see someone you know, and if you are a tourist then you found a special spot! Beers to try: the year round beers, Hundred Daze and Area 251 are quite lovely in their own respect; most of their sours (try any with Guava) are almost always unfiltered, chewy, and scrumptious; the higher ABV stouts (especially Game, Blouses) are a dessert to themselves. The bartenders know their stuff, so if you need some guidance they can always help. Also, if you are going with someone that does not drink beer, but likes wine, they have wine too! They do have beer to go in cans, as well as some drinks for kids in the cooler. If you are down for vacation, or a year round local, Big Beach is a must visit for sure!

LOVE THIS LOCALS BREWERY! The staff is so friendly and knowledgeable. The atmosphere is covered open air. Great place to meet your friends and Gulf Shores neighbors and strangers. Perfect place to host your next pot luck party too.

Honestly it’s fine but a $5 cover is kind of ridiculous. They are not offering anything special. $10 just for us to walk in the door and it was completely dead when we arrived. We went for karaoke and to shoot some pool. I asked for a drink menu and they said they didn’t have one. We had 4 beers and an amaretto sour and it was $31 without tip which was very reasonable. Amaretto sour was in a tiny plastic cup. I will say the crowd was very nice folks. Prob wouldn’t go back due to unnecessary cover.

If you are visiting Gulf Shores, put this one on your list! The DJ did a great job keeping the energy going all night long. Karaoke and Live music made it even better. Friendly staff and good vibes. I can't wait to come back again.

It is its own experience a vary locals spot but the music guy last nite was Josh Newcom and he had the whole outside bar singing song after song

Came here with my girlfriend, who is 22. She handed her ID to the bouncer, and the guy scanned it over front and back before saying he had to go check it, and to wait at the door for him. He came back a minute later claiming her real ID was FAKE and that it would be confiscated. Another staff member, a lady who appeared to be some sort of manager (somehow), tried to say that it was fake because because "LICENSE" was spelled wrong. She got an attitude and condescendingly asked "do you know how to spell license?". Luckily my girlfriend snatched it out of her hand before it was destroyed or we would've had to resort to calling the police. Tell your staff to learn how to spell, how to Google a word to check for spelling, or how to verify an ID is real. Any of those would be great. We are now banned because of this manager's idiocy. Terrible Do not go here if you prefer competent staff. Good riddance

Worst bar ever been too. Waitresses all standing around never did get waited on!!! It was 10pm new years eve and was just decorating. Charged $5.00 COVER to go up to the bar and get your own drink because they are to busy talking and on their phones to wait on customers. No food either. Just a bad place all together.

When we arrived at 9:30pm, it was quiet. So we sat outside and listed to the solo artist. He was excellent and well worth the $5 cover charge. As the night went on, karaoke got started and the DJ was outstanding, quickly taking names and songs and keeping everything moving. The crowd was the best. A great mix of people, mostly younger crowd but also some older people too. It is a dive bar, and is dirty, with smelly bathrooms, but the bar staff keeps the drinks flowing, and the karaoke is a blast.

We loved the atmosphere and the service was second to none. Thanks guys for a great experience. My girlfriend was amazed at the to-go selection of daiquiris.

My husband and I visited Gulf Shores for the first time. All the other local bars close between 9 and 10. So we came across Mud Bugs open til 3am. Karaoke inside. Live music out. Friendly bar crew. Eclectic atmosphere. Great little dive bar.

I love cohibas. I’ve been coming her for years now and every single bartender has been amazing and provided the BEST service. BUT, where is the AC. Bartenders are losing money while bar patrons are forced to stand outside because it’s 100 degrees inside. It’s unsafe, especially while people are drinking. This needs to be fixed. I’ve watched so many locals leave their bartender with an empty bar because of this reason alone. FIX THE AC.

Got my drink confiscated and thrown away because I was personally told I don’t drink for free even though I tipped the man twice and then had his goons back him up and force me out of the bar in front of my family

Bartenders are friendly. It's a fun place to dance and have fun. I do have a couple issues, they severely need to change the variety of music. Last night was only Jamaican music even though I requested something else. It never got played. The other DJ mark, never let's anyone request anything unless it's prevalent to the person he is with. So if you're okay with just Jamaican music and rap it's a good place for you. Also need to have someone cleaning floors and foosball table.

Stopped here for a quick bite to eat. Nice big restaurant, lots of table seating. Also had booths and bar seating. Noticed a stage like area. Lots of mounted flat screen tv's. Even though it was a Saturday night, it wasn't that crowded. The place was nice and clean. I ordered the grilled chicken and mushroom. Hubby got oven brick pizza. Food was good. The pizza was really cheesy and good. Nice crust. My sandwich was tasty. Nice moist chicken breast, I wish it had a little bit more seasoning. This place had nice bathroom, plenty of stalls. It had a trench like automated sink.

Best salad my wife ever had! Servers were friendly and pizza worth the price. Very clean and plenty of room to dance ! Will be back

Servers were awesome....Tropical Cowgirl is the signature house drink and I highly recommend you get one...or two.....great food, music, and drinks. Best club at The Wharf....Best Club in Orange Beach and Gulf Shores
