This isn't a place to get lost, it's a place to get found. At Doane, your future is uniquely yours. And our world-class liberal arts education is just the beginning.
Discovering your life’s passion is easier with options. Rooted in liberal arts, choose from 40 undergraduate majors and 9 graduate programs — all delivering real-world experience.
The first moment you step onto our storied 300-acre campus, you’ll know Doane is different. It isn’t just our long history of innovative learning. It’s the feeling of being surrounded by possibilities.
Doane is consistently ranked as one of the best universities in Nebraska by the Wall Street Journal/Times Higher Education College Rankings. And Princeton Review labeled Doane a “Best Midwestern School.”
Doane was one of the first colleges in the country to implement a four-year graduation guarantee. Here, you’ll graduate on time or ahead schedule with the skills you need to shape your future.
Our liberal arts education offers 24 majors, 26 minors and several pre-professional programs. You’ll also find 22 athletic teams, 60+ student clubs and 10 Greek Life organizations to join.
You won’t find massive auditorium classes at Doane. Our average class size is 11, giving you the personal attention your education deserves. It’s one of the many reasons we have such a rich tradition of Fulbright Scholars.

Immediately when I stepped on the campus it felt like home, like I just fit in. However, the moment that convinced me Doane was the place I needed to be was when I got to sit and talk with a professor. I met with her and when we sat down she asked me, “what is your end goal?” I told her I wanted to teach abroad and immediately she began to plan how my future would look if I chose Doane. I realized that Doane cared about my future success not just in my college career, but even further into my future, no other university cared as much Doane.
