Do you think the 2020 Sentinel is going to use a 62.5mm stroke shock like the new scout? because all TR front triangles are the same. which means they're adding a little bit of clearance to all the frames.

Is that confirmed? Is scout, patrol, smuggler and sentinel? OR is there a different front triangle for the different wheel sizes?

A comparison of current geo numbers seems to support this this claim. It certainly makes good business sense for economies of scale / profit margins.

Going the Guerrilla Gravity route, pretty interesting. Glad I decided to order my Raaw Madonna because I don’t think Tranny is going to be doing aluminum anymore

I guess they went that route with the sbg v2 carbon stuff to amortize carbon mold development costs much quicker. It would be cool if they had standard colors so customers could bolt different rear ends on the bike.

that RAAW Madonna looks like a sweet bike. I'm considering a move back to alloy for next purchase.

They have been doing the same front triangle for some time now (I think)

Curious which models share front triangles?

Has anyone tried using the 1.02 spacer for the fox dpx2 without any problem? I just keep bottoming out with 25% sag and the 0.6 spacer. Fox claims you can’t use the 0.8 or 1.02 yet I’ve seen some people recommend them.

Using it with my Sentinel, confirmed it's OK with Transition. Remember, the Sentinel actually uses a 205x65 trunnion shock with a 7.5mm stroke limiting spacer, so by Fox's chart it's actually OK.

If you're on the heavier side you may want to try more psi, like 35ish over body weight.
I'm 220 with gear.
Running 255 psi with a .4 spacer.
Of course your shock tune may be different than mine and the higher pressure formula may not work for you, I've got the 2018 model.

My shock came with the .9 (actually .86) and I swapped over to the 1.02 for a bit. For some reason with the 1.02 I felt like I would bottom out on small drops. With the .86 I will use all of my travel but never feel a bottom out. I was running 275psi at 250lb riding weight.

My shock info:
2020 Performance Elite Series FLOAT
2020, FLOAT DPX2, P-Se, A, 3pos-Adj, Trunnion, Evol LV, Transition, Sentinel, 205, 57.5, 0.9 Spacer, CAL001, RAL001, Rezi A F M, No Logo

I’m definitely on the lighter side. 120 lbs with gear so I don’t think going up will benefit me. I was thinking same psi, 130, with the 1.02 or .86 spacer. The shock rides great right now, just bottoms out harshly and makes a clang feel and sound on drops and big impacts

If the patrol and the sentinel use the same front triangle... do you think you could run the patrol rocker on the sentinel and get a little extra travel?

I don't think the 20-30psi over rider weight is related to heavier riders. It is more a product of the linear characteristics of the suspension linkage which means it impacts all riders. If you are bottoming all of the time you can try the .86 volume reducer but I would advise against the 1.02 due to my personal experience. If you are still bottoming out, try 20-30psi over riding weight. If you look up anything on setting up the Sentinel's rear shock you will see that almost all of the riders have had to go this route.

Ok thanks. I’ll try both options out

20 psi over rider weight made the shock work great, no more harsh bottom outs and it still is plush.

By the way, does anyone adjust the fork to match or have less sag than the rear for the sentinel? I really like how the fork is right now (25% sag) but the rear is 20% currently with the 20 psi above rider weight.

I don't think I would get caught up on sag numbers especially 20% vs 25%. If it feels good then I would ride it. I pretty much set PSI on the fork at the low end of Fox's recommendation. I tried on the higher end and it was too harsh. I did add 1 volume reducer to the fork (came with 1 installed so 2 total). Tried 3 and I wasn't a fan.
