Rachel Zegler Cast as Lead in Disney’s ‘Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs’ Live-Action Remake. Hollywood newcomer Rachel Zegler (West Side Story, Shazam!) has been cast as the next live-action Disney Princess! Zegler will play the iconic role of Snow White and she is beyond ecstatic.
Rachel has been sharing all the news regarding her casting and appears to be over the moon, sharing her trending on Twitter along with the caption “well that’s a Thing that is Happening.” When the news broke she also posted in all caps, “I HAVE MANIFESTED MY ENTIRE LIFE I THINK I THINK”

Disney’s next live-action remake of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs is set to film in Vancouver, Canada. The film will be directed by Marc Webb (The Amazing Spider-Man) with Erin Cressida Wilson (The Girl on the Train) penning the script. Marc Platt (Mary Poppins Returns) will act as producer for the remake. Oscar-winning songwriters, Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, will be creating new music for the film, similarly to their work with Disney Legend Alan Menken in Disney’s live-action remake of Aladdin.
