Dillard High School Reviews
Rating 3.94 out of 5 523 reviews
The best part of attending Dillard High School is the teachers and guidance counselors. The teachers are very professional, caring and knowledgeable. They will give up their free time to help their students. The guidance counselors make sure that the students are on track.
My 4 years at Dillard High School were fine since I was in the computer science program I got more help and resources than the other kids. My program affiliated teachers were great and passionate about what they did, but my regular course teachers I can’t really say the same. The school's safety measures were horrible since we were always on a code red, strangers were able to walk on to campus, students brought weapons to school multiple times and fights happened all the time.
Dillard 6-12 has the potential to be an amazing high school. With amazing magnet programs with teachers who care to college-level classes. My only gripe with Dillard is the lack of support from the administration. Students aren't properly informed about clubs, the college application process, and lack of conversation. Students are always discouraged from talking to counselors because they're always swarmed with work and unfortunately frequent lockdowns. I think Dillard is one of the better schools in Broward county and if your student is interested in the magnet programs, it's worth it. Other than that, they're better options.
