Clip 6As the Flash of the Miami Heat, Dwayne Wade was absolutely special in transition, but also was great at rebounding in a crowd and pushing the offense off the rebound. He pushes the ball and feeds Bosh for the dagger of Game 1.

Clip 7 With no Lebron on the court, this offensive possession is going absolutely nowhere. Wade saves the possession with his best skill as a player, drawing contact and getting to the FT Line.

Clip 8 When Dallas didn’t have movement plays or miracle scoring from Dirk, they had other players who could contribute to the scoring load. Here Marion uses his physicality and touch to get a bucket with the clock winding down.

Defensive Strategy & Execution🔒 Clip 9 Tyson Chandler fights for positioning and helps secure the DREB, and then on the other end uses his physicality to deny Miami a second chance opportunity. Also puts 3rd foul on Lebron.

Clip 10 The defensive rotations by the Heat here are outright terrifying. The team moves in sync, showing bodies to multiple closeouts and handlers, making Dallus eat up the entire 24 seconds.

Clip 11As good as Dirk was in the post, Chris Bosh was REALLY good at defense, as he makes Dirk feel his presence with the strip. Bosh was a main guy in the series that generated offense from his defensive play.

Clip 12Excellent defense from Lebron and Wade here. Wade gives a good chase off the ball, and Lebron has the foresight to know what Kidd is looking for, which is why he picks off the handoff from Kidd and gets out in transition.

Clip 13 What made Dallas’ defense so effective is the bodies and size they had in the paint. Bosh catches the ball and here comes Dirk with helpside rim protection to deny him the basket & rebound. Size Matters.

Clip 14The Key ingredient to slowing down Miami was lessening second chance opportunities, Tyson Chandler switches on Bosh and tracks him from the perimeter, contesting the shot well, but then Dallas rewards this effort by securing the rebound.

Clip 15We often focus on offense when looking at the clutch, but Dallas came back to win game 2 because of their defense. The rotations are amazing but the force of chandler leads to Bosh turning the ball over here.

4th Quarter Closing4⃣ Clip 17Love how the Mavs pick up the pace after the turnover and take a long two (different time and it’s Dirk) great pass out of the attempted trap. The team played collected and cut the deficit to two.

Clip 18 Look this sequence is just beautiful defense. Composure, communication, and perseverance for a whole minute. Capped off with a great transition bucket.

Clip 19 17-2 Run in the last 5 minutes! Really like this press defense from Dallas, putting the smaller Terry on James to match his foot speed just to switch Marion on him in the half court. Patience and Nowitzki’s greatness are on full display here for the Mavs.

Clip 21The last play is a Dirk Nowitski iso on Chris Bosh. Beautiful drive for the lefty scoop with just three seconds to go. No realistic chance for Miami with no timeouts.

Clip 22Dallas once again keeps everything calm and gives the ball to their best player. Dirk uses his length and quickly steps right to the basket for a critical bucket to help take game 4.
