Mrs. Lady Zedd and I - Zeddblidd the Movie Cartographer - welcome you to our movie challenge. We’ll watch and share our quirky stories on another 500 movies. The highlight of our plunky process - The Movie Algorithm Project (MAP), an innovative 4th Gen. “Enjoyment Meter” which renders an easy to understand, personalized score on a 100-metric. I’m going to switch it up a little this year as we’re planning a MAP overhaul, that’s going to take some time. Pull up a chair and get your *Movie On!*

C/W - Attempted self harm

IMDb Summary: After his girlfriend ditches him for a boorish ski jock, Lane decides that suicide is the only answer. However, his increasingly inept attempts bring him only more agony and embarrassment. Filled with the wildest teen nightmares.

Starring John Cusack, David Ogden Stiers, Diane Franklin, Kim Darby, Curtis Armstrong and Amanda Wyss.

This is perhaps one of the most 80’s filled - 80’s films that ever hit the screen. Apparently John Cusack was not fond of it and confronted writer/director Savage Steve Holland saying it "was the worst thing I have ever seen.” I disagree, obviously, and laugh heartily through the film each time it comes out for a viewing. I admit, some of the animations and pranks begin to chafe a little towards the end, but Lane and Monique’s romance always makes it better.

Love this movie, and its little oddball moments. Particularly the mom's dinners, and the "race" scenes.

The one meal that got up & walked away! Hahaha!

I love to ski and I often quote this film.

This is a rare John Cusack film that I really enjoy. He was the Paul Rudd of his day, but took himself too seriously.
