About David Mattey

David “Big Dave” Mattey is an award-winning Actor, Stuntman, Stunt Coordinator, Editor, VFX Artist, and Writer with over 100 credits in Film and TV.

Some of his TV appearances include comedic and dramatic roles on The Book of Boba Fett, Shameless, Mom, NCIS, American Horror Story, Supernatural, Two and a Half Men, and in a recurring role as the bodyguard “Clarence” (a.k.a. “Man Mountain”) on both the AMC series Better Call Saul and the Netflix film El Camino: A Breaking Bad Story.

Younger viewers recognize him from more than a dozen Disney and Nickelodeon shows such as Henry Danger, The Thundermans, Knight Squad, Dog with a Blog, and iCarly, and the films The Spy Next Door with Jackie Chan and Jack and the Beanstalk. His other films include Bright, Thor, Get Smart, and the Troma cult classic Citizen Toxie: The Toxic Avenger Part IV, to name a few.

He is a member of MENSA, holds several patents and three engineering degrees from Virginia Tech, and has performed sketch comedy and improv on stages across the country. He has trained with the Royal Shakespeare Company, Second City/Burn Manhattan, and The Groundlings.

In spite of all that, he is still best known as the guy who gets a head shoved up his ass by Will Smith in Hancock.
