A Perfect Stranger plot

The young and beautiful Raphaella Phillips is married to the much older, wealthy and influential diplomat John Henry. Raphaella and John are overjoyed until John has a stroke. As a result, he can hardly do anything and does not have long to live. Raphaella is inconsolable and feels terribly alone. In time, she meets the charming Alex Hale, who is there for her in gloomy times. Raphaella falls in love with Alex, but she wants to remain faithful to her husband and decides to end the relationship with Alex. However, when the lovable John Henry finds out that his wife and young Alex are dating, he doesn't react jealously. On the contrary, he realizes that Alex can give his wife love when he is gone and makes a secret agreement with Alex.
