Are you sure it's deep focus photography? Maybe it's just a tiny little man standing on a shelf.
A very good movie. One of Stewart's first roles as a less than nice guy.
The first of the Jimmy Stewart/Anthony Mann westerns. All of them range from very good to great films.
Just watched this a couple days ago, incredibly striking film.

I have to see this at some point. I really don't take to Westerns at all but I've found a few I did enjoy, and Jimmy Stewart is a can't-miss for me, anyway. I liked The Naked Spur well enough.
If you haven’t seen The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance, I would watch that first. A better James Stewart western in my opinion.
Yeah, I've heard that. Definitely atop my Western list right now.
Top-10 western of mine. Just phenomenally entertaining, and when he was on, Stewart could carry a picture as well as anyone ever could.
That’s awesome! Really glad you enjoyed the movie.
I liked how the entire film revolves around the gun. It's like the gun is the main character. I thought it was well done and makes the film interesting throughout.
