HE Count Flemming of Rosenborg (Danish: HE Greve Flemming af Rosenborg)
Second son of HH Prince Axel of Denmark and Princess Margaretha of Sweden. His paternal grandparents were Prince Valdemar of Denmark and Princess Marie d'Orleans. His maternal grandparents were Prince Carl, Duke of Västergötland, and Princess Ingeborg of Denmark.
He graduated from Oregaard Gymnasium in 1941, and joined the Danish Royal Navy, where he served first as a Lieutenant in 1946, and ultimately as Commander of the 1958th.
He later embarked on a business career in his father-in-law's company, becoming Director of the A/S Nielsen contracting firm. He also served on the boards of several other companies, including Nakskov Shipyard, Danish Shell, Frederiksholms Brickworks and Svendborg Shipyard.
He married Alice Ruth Nielsen (Copenhagen, 8 October 1924 – 25 July 2010) in Copenhagen on 24 May 1949 and had four children:[1]
