Just a heads-up: in the near future, I'll be creating two new sections. One will be for BREW devices like the HTC Rome/Smart. The other will be for devices designed and commissioned by other manufacturers and only built by HTC, i.e. the iPAQs, the Treos, the Pocket LOOXes, the Xperia X1, and the Nexus One. jgpTC 15:59, 16 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Done. For my next enhancement, I am considering nuking the weight and battery size columns, as I feel the information is useless trivia taking up valuable screen space. Rather, I will replace it with a "Networks" column listing what networks it supports. To save space, the networks column will be consolidated with the Wi-Fi column, and only the highest-generation standard in each category will be listed (e.g. a device supporting GSM, GPRS, EDGE, UMTS, HSDPA, HSUPA, CDMA, CDMA2000, EV-DO, EV-DO Revision A, 802.11b, and 802.11g will be listed as "HSUPA, EV-DO A, 802.11g" -- and yes, HTC made such a device, the Whitestone). If anyone objects to the upcoming removal of the weight and battery size columns, reply here in the near future--it's not worth an edit war. jgpTC 03:49, 26 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Windows Mobile / Windows Phone confusion[edit]

I don't really understand why there are two sections listing Windows Mobile phones with titles saying "Windows Phone". Windows Mobile and Windows Phone are two completely different platforms, so unless someone has any objections, I'm going to change the titles to Windows Mobile phones. HTC Sense boxes[edit]

Why are only "Yes" boxes green, and not those with more info?

For instance the Pyramid/Sensation is listed as Sense 3.0/3.6. This is clearly a case of "yes, it does have Sense" and the box should be green. CapnZapp (talk) 16:01, 23 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

It's listed under HTC Kingdom or the more common name, HTC Evo Design 4G. Just use the Wikipedia search and add the name in yourself if you don't see it mentioned in this list. - M0rphzone (talk) 04:38, 24 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Page too wide/no scrolling[edit]

I just noticed that it seems like most of the tables on this page (the article) are too wide to fit on one screen (at least at my screen resolution) and, for some reason, the page will not let me sroll horizontally either (OS: Windows XP Professional; Browser: IE8). Just wanted to let someone know, in case they knew how to fix it. For the moment, I can just zoom out to fit the whole width of the page (For anyone who had the same problem, you can probably accomplish the same by increasing your screen resolution.). As soon as I finished the above message, I went back to the article and saw a horizontal sroll bar at the bottom of the screen. I don't know if I missed before or maybe it loaded wrong the first time, but I almost thought for sure there was no scroll bar there a minute ago. Either way I guess there's not much of a problem after all. It still might be a little more convenient if the table fit on the page a bit more easily, (I don't think anyone likes to have to scroll horizontally very much) but it's no big deal. HTC One's UltraPixel camera[edit]

I recently added the HTC One (M7) to the list, and I decided to include mention of UltraPixel under the camera info, with a citation. I felt this was relevant because anyone looking at the specs will notice only 4 MP and think that's low in comparison to the others, and will not understand why this is, and thus think the camera is inferior to the others when it's arguably not. However, it looks like Gu1dry disagrees with me and has removed it. What's everyone's opinion? I didn't want to just undo their edit and cause a fight (I'm new to contributing to Wikipedia like you may have noticed; that was my first edit!), but I do disagree with this modification. I don't think it is just – like Gu1dry says – a buzzword, but rather an important term that clarifies the difference between the One's 4 MP camera compared to a typical 4 MP camera. I feel some clarification is needed, even if it means just having a citation next the megapixel count without the term UltraPixel written. You're right for adding the UltraPixel distinction. Even though the camera is stated to be 4MP, it uses 2.0 µm pixels, effectively making it at least a 13MP camera by 1.0µm pixel standards. Column explanations[edit]

Please could someone add column explanations? In particular, I don't understand what columns 1 and 2 are. One entry in column 1 is for "HTC DesireC", but the actual link is to Droid Eris, which matches the text in column 2. The Droid Eris page currently redirects to HTC Hero, which can be found two rows above in the table, in column 1. Well, the page was originally set up to list devices by code name to make them easier to find, since the code name is the first name known/released to the public. Keyboard category[edit]

Is there a need for the keyboard category in the Android and Windows Phone sections? Having a keyboard or not doesn't matter for touchscreen phones; it's now such an obsolete and irrelevant feature, and in fact, having a keyboard may even be a negative feature. Codename for Android devices[edit]

In the world of Android devices, codename has a very specific and mandatory definition, used by every device manufacturer, to uniquely identify each device model. The codenames given in this article sometimes match up with the actual internal device codename (e.g. HTC Desire HD is "ace"), but it is not always the case (e.g. HTC One A9 is listed as "Aero", but going by the internal Android Platform definition, its codename would be "hiae"). Was there any rhyme or reason in the choice of what value was given in the article for each device's codename, or is it possible that different editors have used different definitions of the word as items were added to the list?142.162.115.33 (talk) 17:01, 22 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
