ALBANY, N.Y. – The Assumption University softball team finished the regular season with a 4-2, 3-1 sweep of the College of Saint Rose, clinching their fourth Northeast-10 Conference Regular Season Championship on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
GAME ONE – Assumption University 4, College of Saint Rose 2
Assumption got on the board early, as Corin Mahan and Abigail Larson had RBI singles in the top of the first inning. Lauren Geremia pushed the lead to 3-0 with an RBI double to right center field before Grace Heim drove in Geremia with a single to center field.

Saint Rose eventually broke through in the bottom of the fifth, striking for two runs in the frame. Samantha Hardwick recorded the complete-game win, scattering eight hits and striking out three. 

GAME TWO – Assumption University 3, College of Saint Rose 1
The Greyhounds were the first to score for the second straight game, as Jordan Dwyer came around to score on an error by the Golden Knights' pitcher in the top of the third inning. Mahan doubled the Assumption advantage with a sacrifice fly to right field, scoring Kaitlyn Cahill on the play. Alyssa Johnson scored in the top of the fourth, as the Saint Rose catcher's throw went into left field. 

The Golden Knights got on the board in the bottom of the fifth, scoring on a passed ball. Anna Tassone stymied the Golden Knights, as she picked up the complete-game win and scattered five hits and no earned runs on 65 pitches.
