Pros

Cons
Nothing bad to say here
- 1.0TeacherCurrent employee, more than 3 yearsBristol, England
Pros
Lunch provided, some really lovely staff members, great teachers, lovely setting.
Cons
Institutional bullying No protection from HR /people team - very clear they are for the school and senior management. They are aware of difficulties and bullying but side with senior management. Staff over stretched - high workload and expectations. Their main concern is reputation not the pupils. Toxic blame culture Jobs given on who they know not what they know. Some senior positions held by inexperienced and unqualified persons. High illness amongst staff

Pros
Free lunch, gym, new leadership structure with COO and directors
Cons
Odd divide between teaching / support staff, poor work-life balance in a lot of areas (however better in some support departments), not enough resources in some departments which leads to exhausting full-time staff beyond their job roles

Cons
long hours, evening duties, weekend lessons - expectations
- 3.0HR DirectorCurrent employee
Pros

Cons
Senior role holders aren't always empowered to make decision

Pros
Clifton is a really friendly place to work. Everyone you meet is very nice and all working towards providing the best for the children that attend. It has great benefits such as a good pension, free food and decent rewards throughout the year for hard work. It’s also a really beautiful setting to work in. It’s a huge a complex place covering a lot but everyone is super friendly
Cons
The College is so big sometimes it can be difficult to communicate
- 1.0Support StaffFormer employee, less than 1 yearBristol, England
Pros
Location and the school provides free lunch
Cons
Culture of bullying and no protection from HR or management. Institutionally broken down- high management positions given to those who are not qualified to manage several different roles Aggressive HR and hierarchy within school- you are singled out as a new employee Unrealistic expectations of staff- you will be offered part time contracts for full time work and then penalised when you cannot complete the work within the time given.

Pros
Working around professional driven individuals
Cons
Working bank holidays is never ideal
- 4.0AnonymousCurrent employee, more than 1 yearBristol, England
Pros
A beautiful setting Wonderful colleagues No micro management Fantastic safeguarding culture Pupils are wonderful Free lunch and discounted gym membership A culture of improvement Significant staff changes in the last year have alleviated the college of some serious bullying issues. The culture is so much better. Great work life balance for support staff
Cons
The HR team are terribly managed and overworked. The turn around in that team is despicable high. No cemented processes for operations. Often a lack of leadship prevents people know what they should be doing. Work life balance for academic staff is lacking.
1 - 1.0Anonymous EmployeeFormer employee, more than 10 years
Pros
Lovely pupils, good location, free lunch.
Cons
No worklife balance, the expectations of individuals is unacceptable for very little reward. There is no recognition of staff loyalty and key members of staff seem to 'dissapear'. Leadership is poor and relationships are toxic. Certain individuals are allowed to abuse their postion and have total control of major decisions. Staff wellbeing is promoted but it is purely a tick box exercise. They do not care about their staff at all. The demands on the early years practitioners is unbeleivable and they are lucky to have such comitted, hard working and caring practitioners to take care of the children. The College leaders care more about it's reputation than the actual students and it cares even less about its staff. You can end up working a 60 hour week whilst being on a 40 hour contract. The most stressful working environment ever with too many unhappy staff.
