This is my favorite Candace Cameron Bure Christmas movie. In fact, it is my second favorite Hallmark Christmas movie - next to Love at the Thanksgiving Day Parade with Autumn Reeser. It, of course, is the typical Hallmark storyline. Snobby/rich girl meets simple/average boy with a nowhere job and they hate one another. Then they work together and fall in love. But I love the actor too that plays her “love interest”. They are both so cute. Alan Thicke - who played her real life brother Kirk’s TV dad on Growing Pains - plays her dad in this movie. He isn’t in the movie much; but he makes some appearances. And it was made not too long before he passed away. I love being able to watch this movie whenever I want. Especially as the older movies are not shown on the channel anymore. If you like Candace, snow, Christmas, and the Hallmark magical Christmas love story, then you will love this movie. (My dvd works fine and came very quickly.)

I love Candace Cameron Bure's Hallmark movies and this one is one of my favorites that I watch a few times a Christmas season. Without giving away the plot too much, her character works for her father in taking struggling resorts and making them lucrative. She is sent to this lodge to draw up plans to completely gut it, but she finds herself falling in love with all the charms and details of the resort as well as the owner's son. She has to find the courage to go against her father and fight for what she believes in.

The acting is great and I love the moral and the message of the movie. Great price to own on DVD.

I really liked this movie. Candace Cameron Bure is my favorite Hallmark actress, and this is my favorite movie of hers so far. I like this year's (2017) "Switched for Christmas" as well, but this remains my favorite. The following is a description of the plot and contains spoilers..It's a sweet story about Candace's character warming up to a "mom and pop" style's snow lodge, which she has been send to by her hotelier dad (played by the late great Alan Thicke), whose company just took over the lodge. She is there on a job assignment to come up with ideas on how to rebuild it from the ground up, while losing all the Christmas traditions in the process, which the mom and pop style business had worked so hard to preserve for their regular guests for many generations. Initially, she doesn't care for the snow or Christmas, and is keen on changing everything. However, the son of the family, who had owned the lodge, is in charge of showing her all the activities the lodge and its mountain have to offer. He doesn't really care for Christmas himself, but thanks to spending time with Candace's character, starts to realize what he liked about it in the first place. They start to develop feelings for each other, and slowly but surely she starts to realize what makes this family friendly lodge and their happy Chrismas spirit so special. The tough part is convincing her dad of that.
