What are their brunch hours? (Super bizarre that it's impossible to locate their menu hours. It's 2019, figure it out ffs.)
A:
Try to go on reservations page. I think it changes but that would be accurate day by day. I have to comment that service here is sub par!

Visiting this landmark has been on my to do list for many years. My daughter and friends have raved about it; with good reason.
Impeccable service, gracious interior, and rhe utmost discretion. I picked up a souvenir t-shirt as well.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Fancypants X.San Francisco, CA23626366312Apr 10, 2024
Famed hotel Chateau Marmont is known for being a den of iniquity & general party place to the stars. The ghosts of some of these celebrities have reportedly never left; Bungalow 3, where John Belushi overdosed in the early 80s, is said to exhibit paranormal activity. But, this review is for something far less macabre -- brunch!
My party of four was led through the picturesque hotel out to the beautiful garden courtyard. I shared a sweet & a savory with one of my dining partners & was pleasantly surprised; the food was better than I was expecting. I added avocado ($8) to our Spinach Feta Omelette ($27) which came with small roasted potatoes. The Buttermilk Pancakes ($25) with berries were thin but fluffy.
A decent meal in a storied building where every corner is reminiscent of the glamour that was once Tinseltown. However, I'd brave spending a night here before I eat in their restaurant again; there are far superior eats in L.A. Our servers regaled us with ghost stories from this hotel & others, so do chat them up if you want the inside scoop.
Valet is $25 & is an uneven 1/2 block walk away -- a heads up for ladies (& gents, we are in the land of rockstars, afterall) wearing five-inch heels.Helpful 5Thanks 4Love this 5Oh no 1 - Feb 15, 2024
Lovely experience and service was amazing. I've never had cavier and was delighted with how it was paired with crème fraîche and tots.. so delicious .
And had a dessert crème brûlée with some hot tea.
Iconic resturant along the sunset strip ..with the feel of old Hollywood .. and you might just catch a celebrity on your visit.
The room was very warm and cozy and relaxing with the piano man's music to set the mood . The evening was simple yet elegant.Helpful 2Thanks 1Love this 3Oh no 0 - 2981076471Apr 14, 2024Updated review
This is always a great experience. I highly suggest stopping by for a midday martini in the garden. It's so quiet and serene, definitely a different world from how it is at night. The drinks are perfectly made here too, never had a bad one!
Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Apr 2, 2023Previous reviewEach time I've been here it's been such a pleasant experience. I usually try to stop by for a drink when I'm in town and depending on the weather I'll end up by the pool or at the indoor bar. Service is always really great and surprisingly not pretentious. The dirty martini here remains one of my favorite cocktails I've ever had- the perfect amount of salinity and of course served in a gorgeous glass. We mentioned we were in town celebrating and they gave us "celebratory olives" which was a cute touch.

Typical that so many years would pass before I returned here again. This time, I was reminded by another who was staying here which had me thinking I was long overdue for a trip. Making the reservation via email was easy, and I headed on over on a December afternoon.
Since the reservation was fairly early (11:30a), the place was pretty empty as I had expected it to be. Waiter came over a few minutes later and I decided to finally give in and try their spaghetti bolognese I kept hearing great things about. Bread is now an additional charge at $10 (I wasn't aware if it was free before or not) so I wisely passed on this.
Portion was smaller than expected but very good. I don't normally eat veal, but I made an exception. For an expensive dish, I was going to finish all of it which was easy to do.
Service could have been better; he wasn't rude or dismissive by any means, but he failed to check in on me (considering I was one of the only people in the place), and there were no water refills, and this was my only drink. Perhaps he was also the server for the outdoor patio as well, which I could have understood but regardless, the basics weren't really covered here.
Menu has certainly changed somewhat since my last time, but the classics have stayed, and I'm glad I finally tried that spaghetti.
Keeping this at three-stars but after reading my previous review, I should have made that four-stars, then had this most recent visit dropped down to three.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0Aug 13, 2015Previous reviewI've had lunch here a handful of times, but so much time has spanned in between I always wonder what brings me back. Then, I remember.
Opting as an odd-one out by sitting inside rather than out, it's never been a problem coming with a reservation, or rather, without. The patio is nice and all, but rather overpopulated and sometimes I just don't feel like dealing with a lot of people. Although it's known to be a trendy haunt, I come here to get Away from people, and the indoor seating is perfect.
What I really come here is for the food. Last items I remember ordering was the chopped salad (sans egg) and to ruin my healthy choice, added on the truffle-parmesan fries. Reading previous reviews, someone mentioned they had pears in their salad, so I asked the server about this. He said no, but sometimes the chef would toss random items in that weren't in the salad description on the actual menu (chicken, bacon, egg, avocado, roquefort). Minus the egg, I found the addition of carrots, cauliflower, cherry (or possibly grape) tomatoes and green apples. If you're extremely picky, I'd ask specifics before ordering. Otherwise, this was a perfectly fine salad. One day, I'll return for that spaghetti bolognese I hear raves about.
My favorite thing that keeps bringing me back is that I can sit there and get some work done, and no one bothers me, with the exception of my water refills (bad choice of words; it's not even bothersome; more like snapping me back to life if I'm daydreaming). It's fairly quiet in here, and once in a while, the record player spins some light tunes, or one of the bolder guests (wink) comes over to start it up himself.
As for the service, the hostesses via phone and in person were total sweethearts. They also let me know that the table was reserved at 5pm (I was there for a late lunch). I didn't think I'd need to worry about this, but I saw myself there almost two hours later, so this was a friendly heads up. The waiter was fine, but one of the busboys really stood out, with a deadpan sense of humor. He actually made me break out into a smile today when I was in a rather dim mood. (Thanks for growing those lemons in the back for me!)
A couple things I noticed that were different is there is no longer an 18% gratuity tacked onto the bill, and the use of photography apparently is permitted which is somewhat annoying, but I have to take into consideration where I am. Also, the female bartender seemed to have slight attitude, but I won't count that against future visits.
I know I probably come here for the 'wrong reasons', but I'm content.

3rd UPDATE: it's been a while since I posted here. But this one is worth it!! It's a bummer that I'm only allowed to share 10 pics from one of the best evenings of my life.
I've been a CM patron for 8+ years and always enjoyed my time there. Maybe it's because I'm an actor and the place's mystique adds to it, but overall, I've always felt at home and appreciated.
I was introduced to the Marmont through Giannina, my partner, who threw the most spectacular surprise birthday party for me back in 2016 with some actor friends from Stella Adler. Dinner was fabulous and the villa that we stayed at behind the pool was stellar.
Naturally, we kept coming back during the years and I can say that this place means a lot to us as a couple. We've been here with all our loved ones. Family members, friends, and special guests with whom we shared so many happy moments and keep the greatest memories. It has a place in our hearts.
I needed to add this context for what's coming:
After years with Giannina, I wanted to propose to her on her birthday and make it a special day. Taking advantage of that she knew I was taking her out for her bday, and all my plans wouldn't be spoiled or seem too obvious/suspicious.
I thought I should do it at the places that mean something to Gianni in LA. I didn't have to think much. It had to be the Hollywood Reservoir and the Chateau Marmont.
So, I started planning the whole setup and concluded that since in November sunset was around 5, it'd be great to go to Lake Hollywood first to propose with a natural setting and get awesome pictures with a professional photographer friend who was hiding while I got on my knee, and then go to have dinner and drinks with her to celebrate.
Therefore, the dinner celebration had to be at the Marmont. So I got in touch with the Reservations Team a month in advance to let them know my plan and what it'd mean to us to celebrate there. They replied immediately and said they would be thrilled to have us celebrate such a special occasion.
So, two weeks before her birthday we went back and forth over email and designed a prefix menu that also included our names printed on it and the date to have it as a memento. God is in the details.
It was a spectacular menu all around that we built with lots of options, cocktails, desserts, and aperitifs.
They even offered us a beautiful room to stay at for the night but we had some plans scheduled for later.
Needless to say, when we got to the Chateau post-proposal, she couldn't believe this was the "secret spot" I told her we were going to. Due to COVID, the restaurant had some restrictions, and we weren't able to go for a couple of years. So it was off her radar.
As soon as we dropped the car in the valet we were treated incredibly and made feel welcome. As soon as we headed upstairs, the manager came to welcome us and assigned a cozy spot to have a drink while we waited for our table to be ready.
Once we went to the table, the feast began and it was nothing short of spectacular!!
I think I'm going too long into this review, but I just wanted you guys to visualize a little of the dedication, effort, and commitment that the restaurant manager and Reservations team put into our special occasion.
And I believe that's the standard with all their patrons. They go ABOVE AND BEYOND!
It's the Chateau Marmont for a reason, and within those walls, you can expect nothing but magic...
THANK YOU so much to the CM team. We'll cherish this evening forever!
Cheers to more happy moments to come...Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 2Oh no 0Nov 21, 2018Previous reviewUPDATE ON NOV 2018: came last week with my family and girlfriend for lunch and accidentally a waiter spilled steak sauce on my girlfriend's attire and hair, it was a mess. We didn't complain because it wasn't the waiters fault (there was a crack on the board where the steak was on). However, the manager of the restaurant heard about this from the waiter himself, who felt sorry after the incident and reported it to him.
For our surprise, the manager apologized to all of us and offered us a FREE lunch for the 4 of us (we didn't pay at all for the entire order). Besides, he offered to get my girlfriend's jacket and shirt dry cleaned but we kindly refused, it was already too much with an entire free lunch.
Nice detail, keep it up guys!Oct 7, 2017Previous reviewOk let's cut to the chase with the mythical Marmont.
It's FANTASTIC! It feels like old Hollywood and they are very proud of their history.
You enter the valet Parking area and you already feel a different vibe in there.
Ironically it's not as luxurious as you'd think. But it's a nice place with a great environment. Attention is awesome, ALWAYS! Be generous with your tips
If you come here hoping to meet and greet celebrities, you're coming for the wrong reasons. Of course you'll see plenty, mostly on weekdays at early hours like lunch or between 4-8pm.
But they're very respected in terms of not annoyed by fans/costumers. Their privacy is a priority there so please don't bother them.
Their food and menu is simple but they have great options. The burger is solid. Their spaghetti is good. The tartare is good. The gazpacho is good but heavy on olive oil)
The salads are nice and filling (they have to be, considering so many models eat there)
Desserts are ok actually, but not to lose your mind.
Regarding price it's fine actually, not as expensive as you could think considering the place; Dishes could be between $18-$40. The steak is always the most expensive one but I don't remover their exact price but it's around $50ish.
Now that's the restaurant.
Regarding the hotel: The rooms at the villas are old fashioned and I like that. Their appliances are vintage and overall you feel a very home style environment. I've never stayed at the main building so I can't give my honest opinion about those rooms.
Cigarettes are super pricey so if you smoke, come prepared to pay $20/pack or buy some before coming.
So check it out and a have an experience. - Jan 31, 2024
4.5 restaurant! I went here for brunch on a Saturday and sat in the beautiful patio. We got the hummus, avocado, and Caesar salad (with house vinaigrette) and a blacked salmon on top. Everything was delicious and the ambiance is exactly what I need on a sunny weekend afternoon. I can't wait to go back for dinner on a date since I can only imagine how romantic it is at night!

Celebrity scandal! At a "castle" In Hollywood! What more could you ask for?! ;)
Well, there's more that the chateau offers! One fabulous thing about Chateau Marmont is: I was able to make a 24 hour reservation for dinner for my husbands birthday the following day! (Of course, this was on a weekday with no big events going on in Hollywood. So all worked out well with spacing!) They even accommodated us adding more to our group at late notice! Mucho Kudos to the staff!
Our large party enjoyed the delicious food, drinks, and beautiful ambiance! The outdoor patio is large, decadent, gorgeous! No one complained about any of the numerous dishes we all ordered. There were only ooos and ahhhs all around each plate!
Im sure some folks don't care for the rumours of CM history! But there's no denying celebrity gossip is eye raising! And most celebrities like to be seen at the Hollywood chateau. This includes Britney Spears getting banned for a period of time because Posh Spice complained about her behavior and starting a food fight! Lyndsey Lohan was banned for awhile after staying at the hotel and ordering exquisite services, then not paying her bills as they piled up! She's not the only one, though. Plenty of old, middle and new Hollywood have overstayed their budgets, living in Luxury until they have to be kicked out for payment negligence! Marvin Gaye is one such musician who ended up dying whilst living at the chateau, never paying off his debt. He's not the only celeb who passed away there. Drug overdose took the next celeb, a Belushi bro.
Scandal also includes rumours of Scarlett Johansson having orgasmic fun with Benedicio del Toro after an Academy Awards night. This has not been confirmed nor denied! But the elevator is small and a short ride.
Billy Idol is known to have trashed his room and biologically relieved his drinking over his hotel room balcony. While Johnny Depp claims he made love in every single one of the chateau's hotel rooms.
Beyoncé and JayZ always host their Grammy parties here!
You're welcome. Now you have stuff to talk about on your next visit to Chateau Marmont. I never said any of it was 100% true! Just gossip I learned about!
One star was taken off because the first time my husband and I tried to have a night cap here, the bouncers/security told us it was closed and wouldn't let us in. We took this as snooty discrimination as they were letting other people in!Helpful 2Thanks 1Love this 2Oh no 0
