Schwarzenberg, Paul W. Muskegon Paul W. Schwarzenberg, age 67, passed away at the Poppen Residence on Wednesday, September 21, 2022. He was born on December 23, 1954 to Paul F. and Donna (Castonia) Schwarzenberg in Muskegon. Paul graduated from Western Michigan University with an education degree. He worked for Ravenna Public Schools for over 31 years both as a teacher and a coach for the girls volleyball, track and quiz bowl teams. Following retirement, Paul taught at Baker College for several years. He loved being outside and was an avid bow hunter and huge fan of the Detroit Red Wings. Paul is survived by his mother, Donna; sisters, Denise Byrnes and Lori (Russ) Schuitema; nieces and nephews, Brandi (Sam) Fattore, Derrick (Natasha) Keur, Reed (Brenna) Schuitema and Lindsay (Jordan) Mattfolk; six great-nieces and one great-nephew. Paul had a special bond with his dog, Willow. He was preceded in death by his father in November of 2016. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 3:00 PM, Monday, September 26, 2022 at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Services 6291 S. Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444 with Pastor Steve Derdowski officiating. VISITATION with the family will be one hour prior to the service. MEMORIALS can be directed to the Harbor Hospice Foundation. BURIAL will take place at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. Share memories with the family at www.sytsemafh.com.

I only knew Paul in a professional setting, but he was always so kind and genuine. I'm deeply saddened to hear of his passing. He will be truly missed.

I went all through OV with Paul. He lived in the same neighborhood as many of us.
When I was at Western I ran into him occasionally.
