NJ.com | Randy Miller: Aroldis Chapman has struggled quite notably recently, and when a save situation arose in Wednesday night’s game against the Mariners he wasn’t the one called upon. Aaron Boone brought Chad Green into the one-run game, and the reliever delivered by sealing the win. After the game, Boone said he went to Green in that spot because he felt he was the best option. However, he’s also still committed to Chapman and getting him back on track in the long term.

NJ.com | Randy Miller: You’re never going to believe this, but there’s Yankee injury news. Ahead of Thursday’s game, the Yankees placed Michael King on the injured list with a middle finger contusion. Meanwhile, Miguel Andújar has also been out of the lineup over the last couple days due to hand and wrist soreness. They sent him for X-Rays and an MRI, but are hopeful that’s he’s good to go as he was feeling better Thursday.

The Score | C Jackson Cowart: Gerrit Cole became one of the faces of the foreign substance crackdown, and at least so far, his numbers are down since it began. He’ll hopefully bounce back over time, but the early post-substance results haven’t been pretty.

New York Post | Ken Davidoff: The MLB Draft is coming up this weekend, and at least one likely selection will have Yankee connections before any pick is announced. Whitey Ford’s grand-nephew, Michael Sirota, is expected to be selected somewhere in the first half of the draft, and has also accepted a scholarship at Northeastern University should he decide to go to college.
