Biography
Katherina, Gräfin von Waldeck-Eisenberg (Countess of Waldeck-Eisenberg) was born about 1524, the daughter of Philipp III, Graf von Waldeck-Eisenberg, and his second wife, Anna, Prinzezzin von Kleve.[1]
She married 8 May 1550, Bernhard VIII, Graf zur Lippe and they had the following children:[2]
- Anna, born 1551, married Wolfgang von Eberstein zu Neugarten;
- Magdalene, born 24 February 1552, married Georg I, Landgraf von Hessen-Darmstadt;
- Simon VI, born 15 April 1554, succeeded his father as Graf zur Lippe;
- Bernhard, died 1602;
- Bernhardine, born posthumously 14 October 1563, married Ludwig von Leiningen-Westerburg.
Katharine's husband, died 15 April 1563, and she died 20 years later on 18 June 1583.[2]; [1]
