The government should include Balijas in 2A category so that the community youths can land government jobs These days caste has become a policy. We should realise this fact and get united to fight for our rights, Till 1994, there were many Balijas who were enjoying top positions in the bureaucracy. The community suffered a setback after Balijas were shifted from 2A category to 3A If the community was included in 2A category, about 100 to 200 Balijas would have landed jobs in KPSC selections. We are no more into the traditional community vocation. We need government jobs for survival The government provided 4% reservation in category 3A against 15% in category 2A. Of the 40 lakh people belonging to the Balija community in the state, nearly 75% are poor. We are not against any caste. Our condition is deplorable.
