'Catch and Kill' HBO: How Many Episodes Are in 'Catch and Kill: The Podcast Tapes'?

Catch and Kill: The Podcast Tapes brings to life Ronan Farrow's podcast and best-selling book, Catch and Kill: Lies, Spies, and A Conspiracy to Protect Predators. The series comes from Emmy-winning directors Fenton Bailey and Brando Barbato and features jaw-dropping interviews with Harvey Weinstein's victims, whistle-blowers, the journalists who worked on the ground-breaking story, and several other key players in the exposure of Weinstein's crimes.

How many episodes are in Catch and Kill: The Podcast Tapes?

Catch and Kill: The Podcast Tapes premieres tonight at 9 p.m. ET on HBO.

Viewers will be treated to the first two episodes, which will air back-to-back on the channel, concluding at 10 p.m.

There are six episodes in the series and double installments will air every Monday on HBO. Each installment is 30 minutes long.

Each episode of Catch and Kill: The Podcast Tapes will also be available to stream via HBO Max.

The gripping series brings to life Ronan Farrow's hit podcast and book Catch and Kill: Lies, Spies, and A Conspiracy to Protect Predators, exposing the higher beings who tried to silence whistle-blowers, survivors, and journalists who tried to break the story.

The six-part series features never-seen-before footage with the people at the heart of the powerful story, alongside new audiotapes, photos, archive footage, official documents, offering a fresh perspective and more detail into Hollywood's infamous story.

In May 2018, Weinstein was arrested in New York and charged with rape, and several counts of sexual abuse.

In February 2020, he was found guilty of rape in the third degree and a criminal sexual act. He was sentenced to 23 years imprisonment in March 2020.

Episode One: The Wire—Monday, July 12

The first episode introduces Filipina-Italian Ambra Gutierrez.

In 2015 she was involved in a police sting operation to capture a chilling confession from Weinstein, who had sexually assaulted her the previous day.

Despite the confession, New York District Attorney Cyrus Vance decided not to press charges due to the lack of evidence.

The episode delves deep into what Guiterrez decided to do next.

Episode Two: The Reporters—Monday, July 12

The New Yorker reporter Ken Auletta and The Hollywood Reporter's Kim Masters reflect on their journey to try to expose the "open secret" of Weinstein and discuss the roadblocks which got in their way.

Episode Three: The Assistants—Monday, July 19

The third installment of Catch and Kill: The Podcast Tapes introduces Rowena Chiu, a former assistant at Weinstein's company.

The synopsis for the harrowing third episode reads: "A former assistant at Weinstein's company, Rowena Chiu, speaks out about her experiences with Weinstein's predation, the difficult choices she and fellow assistant Zelda Perkins made to try to hold him accountable, and her decision to remain silent for decades."

Episode Four: The Producer—Monday, July 19

Episode four of Catch and Kill: The Podcast Tapes turns its attention to the work of podcast host Ronan Farrow, who had worked closely with Rich McHugh at NBC News to get the story of Harvey Weinstein's abuse out.

Farrow and McHugh interviewed Rose McGowan and numerous other sources on camera and the pair reflect on the realization their reporting on the issue was being shut down behind the scenes.

Episode Five: The Editors—Monday, July 26

The penultimate episode of Catch and Kill: The Podcast Tapes sees The New Yorker editors David Remnick and Deirdre Foley-Mendelssohn, attorney Fabio Bertoni and fact-checkers Tammy Kim and Fergus McIntosh recall their work on the story and fighting off legal threats from Weinstein's team.

Episode Six: The Spy—Monday, July 26

The final episode sees Ronan Farrow speak with undercover spy Igor Ostrovsky, who originally had been hired to gather evidence on Farrow and his investigation into Weinstein.

The Citizen Lab's John Scott-Railton also discusses with Farrow the rise of private espionage and its consequences.

Catch and Kill: The Podcast Tapes airs Mondays at 9 p.m. on HBO and HBO Max.
