Gino was a second cousin of my father. We used to go see the Patriots play the Raiders every year. He was always very kind to us, particularly to me.
Always a hero figure to my family. And will always be.

Sandy- I was so saddened to hear of Gino´s passing. He spent two precious Sunday mornings with me at his home in 2013 as you may recall reminiscing about his football and broadcast career for a story that I wrote for a magazine. He was so genuine, sincere and personable. I will always cherish those meetings with him. May he Rest In Peace in God´s loving arms.

I first met Gino in 1972, along with Gil Santos they were a great radio team. Gino was a first class man and represented the Patriots organization with class and humility. We shared a few dinners together on road trips during my 8 years as assistant athletic trainer. Heaven has received an angel. RIP

An MVP caliber Wide Receiver, who could kick! Gino was one of great names/performers in American Football League, and Patriot, history. Thanks for demonstrating your standout talents and character in the burgeoning AFL, Gino. Rest in peace.

I was fortunate to sit and attend dinners twice a year for many years with Gino. His demeanor never changed, he was true to his heritage and to the Patriots. A Hall of Famer that embodied what an NFL player should be both on and off the field. His stories about Gil Santos and certain losses still crack me up. To the Cappelletti family my sincere condolences in Gino's passing. Rest assured many friends will always hold this man in the highest esteem. Maybe the NFL via the Kraft family can somehow recognize this man for his accomplishments during the birth years of the AFL. Rest in peace "Mr. Automatic"
