What travelers are saying
- StonewallBrigadeNew Jersey758 contributions1.5 hours would be enough to see everything if you were tight on time; about 30 minutes inside and 60 outside. You could easily spend more if you want to take your time. Everything is free.Written October 23, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - JElaineWest Kennebunk, ME11 contributionsMy husband and I have attended this show many times. It’s a pleasure to share stories with other enthusiasts. The hunt for parts is fun, you never know what you might find in a cardboard box. The concessions are good and the restrooms well kept. There appears to be more and more scooters and golf carts being used, increasing safety concerns and congestion in the aisles. I understand that they are necessary for some guests. I would like to suggest a set speed limit and one way travel.Written April 21, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - ktrudenConcord, NC16 contributionsFor a museum of its size, it's impressive and engaging. Definitely worth checking out their displays and chatting with staff. Particularly good exhibit on Carlisle Indian School.Written July 27, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - mdr91Boston, MA159 contributionsBeautiful campus. They've seamlessly blended old and new buildings by using the same gray throughout. The added punches of red in the banners and Adirondack chairs really make for a lovely environment. We recently took one of the college tours and found everyone involved quite friendly. Also very impressed with their dedication to sustainability.Written May 3, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Happiness237176104541 contributionI've been to this store over a dozen times. Every visit, something there calls to me and winds up coming home with me. The staff is very accommodating and will hold most purchased items for you for several days, if needed.
An FYI for those who are sensitive... energetically, it's a bit overwhelming. Be well-grounded upon arrival, and/or have your favorite protective item on you. It is a beautiful space, particularly the second and third floors (for me).Written April 22, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It's still in use as an inn and conference center.Written August 13, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Michelle AChesapeake, VA17 contributionsThis was a beautiful hidden gem. We were camping and looking for attractions near by. This popped up. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Our guide, Jim was very friendly and knowledgeable. Unfortunately the upstairs was closed because they now offer weekend stays in the bedroom.s. - Ridge66Woodbridge, VA7 contributionsI attended school at the Barracks and it's a great place in US history. The LeTort Spring runs through the base and it adds to the greatness of Carlisle. - conodoguinetmmCarlisle, PA10 contributionsThe Carlisle Theatre was purchased and renovated to its early glory by the Carlisle Regional Performing Arts Center, a nonprofit group formed by local citizens. It is a stylish and imposing old theatre and the film offerings and live performances are interesting and electic. I have had the opportunity to participate in some of their live performances, and have been amazed at the talent they draw.Written October 19, 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jimmy B.Fort Myers, FL50 contributionsMolly Pitcher Brewing company was founded in 2013 by four guys with a dream to brew the beers they love and brew them to perfection. The place is quaint with a Pennsylvania, old town charm. The food is definitely casual, however, high quality. Fun busy place, close to Dickinson Campus. We had the IPA braised bacon salad. Good choice, plus if you like braised food, several other items are prepared in that fashion. Music can be heard in their upstairs loft area, very cool. Outside patio and seating in a beautiful area.Written October 25, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- OldBridgesBensalem, PA1,673 contributionsThe shop is small, but every table, shelf & wall offered a wide variety of locally created craft items - both small & large, from the inexpensive to high-end, including jewelry, pottery, Christmas tree ornaments & other such items. Definitely worth a stop.Written December 30, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- FantajanPretoria, South Africa338 contributionsWe lived a block away from this park for two months and were there almost every day for one reason or another. My husband and I would walk or jog the trail and take our son on his bike. It's a lovely, easy path through farmland and along the creek. You pass by old houses and barns. It's a safe place to get out during the COVID pandemic. We also enjoyed hanging out in the park, watching the baby ducks and goslings. There are picturesque spots for picnics and enough space to social distance. My son and I liked playing Pooh Sticks on the bridge. This is my favorite place in Carlisle, for good reason.Written July 19, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
