appelstroop12 This movie keeps it real, showing the tough lives of veterans often ignored. It's not a fast-paced action flick, but if you're into genuine stories and don't mind a slower pace, this one's for you. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/18/24 Full Review karen m This was such a touching movie about individuals most people ignore and others take advantage of. So much of it tore my heart out but the ending was sweet recompense for Willie's suffering. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 09/19/22 Full Review Audience Member The ending was awesome. The bum fights part was uncomfortable to watch but everything else was great Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/04/23 Full Review Audience Member Great movie, great story line, brilliant cast which bought real life to this movie. Very touching Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/28/23 Full Review Audience Member Really good film, dont understand why tbe critics scored it so lowly. Frank Scheck Hollywood Reporter Delivering a fully committed, moving performance, Thomas Haden Church makes you pay attention to a figure you would otherwise pass by without a second thought. Dec 11, 2016 Full Review Michael Rechtshaffen Los Angeles Times Gritty authenticity goes up against cloying pathos - with the latter unfortunately emerging victorious - in the skid row drama "Cardboard Boxer." Sep 15, 2016 Full Review Helen T. Verongos New York Times Mr. Lee, straining, ends up delivering a sentimentalism that undermines Mr. Church's performance and this film's promise. Sep 15, 2016 Full Review Kristian M. Lin Fort Worth Weekly You should always be suspicious of homeless dramas that star Oscar-nominated Hollywood actors. Sep 29, 2016 Full Review Zach Hollwedel Under the Radar Disparate elements aren't enough to render Cardboard Boxer two films in one, but one film with a decisive and deep schism within. Rated: 5.5/10 Sep 29, 2016 Full Review Will Ashton We Got This Covered Cardboard Boxer is an underdog fighter that, despite its considerate and often good performances, often finds its punches pulled. It's a shame, too, because it could've been a knockout. Rated: 5/10 Sep 17, 2016 Full Review Read all reviews
