My favorite part was when the characters in the film stopped to watch softcore porn themselves, implying a larger Softcore Universe (SCU). Anyway, Gregg Gross’s music makes my weenie wanna grow.

Charmless and, more importantly, astonishingly tasteless. I don't mean the obvious and expected dumb-ass downpunching humor like the sound of buzzing flies accompanying every screen appearance of the overweight antagonist. I mean specifically that right before the pivotal sex scene, the female lead admits tearfully that her apparent frigidity is a traumatic response to having been raped by her boyfriend as a teenager. What the fuck in my opinion, why is this being horked into the middle of a softcore sex comedy like it's no big thing, I mean Jesus.
A couple bits of throwaway business are funny (e.g. the straight razor).

Jim Hanks is the stand out feature of this film that has nothing to do with the beach. If you’re wondering why his character behaves exactly like Forest Gump it’s because Tom Hanks bootlegged the character from Jim Hanks. As far as I’m concerned Tom Hanks owes his entire career to this pile of trash.

I know the jokes are corny and that the main character has the depth of a petri dish, but I enjoyed it from start to finish. In a world of bikini babes and macho studs, Jim Hanks plays a dud. He's the boring eye of the zany character hurricane, who all want a piece of him. It's sweet natured at its core, more involved than most bikini comedies, and has a reoccurring gag that involves a jealous muscle man tossing guys onto bookshelves. Always a bonus, Kitten Natividad. Mark Pirro movies are my favorite flavor of the summer.
There was a lot I found interesting about this vehicle for Tom Hanks's goofy-looking brother Jim. First of all, it's a really great example of a movie where the entire plot revolves around the main character, but the main character himself does absolutely nothing to advance it. Also, it's an interesting change from the norm in that, instead of the whole movie being about a guy's friends trying to get him laid, it's about his dad trying to get him laid. His dad's not a sleaze-o or anything, he just really loves his son. Plus you get a character named "Scud Blackplowman". And I really enjoyed the one-two punch joke with the stage hypnotist: he's named "The Amazing Foreskin", and…
The most notable thing about this past its prime sex comedy is the casting of Tom's brother Jim Hanks. Its market solely around that fact and doesn't have much more to offer. I will say it is odd to see someone who looks almost exactly like Tom Hanks be in a sex comedy. I mean someone of Tom Hanks pedigree would never be in something as inane as a sex comedy right? I hope you're catching my irony here cause I'm laying it on pretty thick.
