Hit the shops or sip a beverage!
You could go shopping in the Buderim Village, there are a large number of fashion stores, specialist gift shops, secondhand stores, book stores (including secondhand books stores) and a big selection of cafes/restaurants in the Buderim Village. Take a drive/walk along Burnett Street in the heart of the Village, lovely tree-lined streets make a beautiful backdrop to casual dining! Business hours are fairly standard, Monday to Friday with some open on Saturday mornings.
See Buderim Naturally
If you are not up for a little shopping, you can go natural on Buderim, any day of the year and take in the natural attractions of Buderim Mountain! Take a wander throughout the Buderim Forest to see the waterfall, have a picnic in the Lions Park, the Foote Sanctuary, Wirreanda Park or take a walk down the old Tramway track site. Just remember to take enough water in the Summer time if you go on any walking tracks.
Go to a special event!
Through the year there are also quite a few special events, held by the BWMCA and various groups on the Mountain. The menu at right gives you a look at the details of the “biggies”. They include the Australia Day celebrations, ANZAC services, Buderim Mountain State School’s Springtime Fair, Buderim Craft Cottage Easter Fair, Carols by Candlelight.
Go exploring on the Sunshine Coast
Buderim is a virtual nexus to all things magical on the amazing Sunshine Coast of Queensland. In a car, you can be in Montville sipping coffee while overlooking majestic views, in just 25 minutes. In around 15 minutes you could be surfing or sunbaking on any one of the famous tourist beaches like Mooloolaba, Maroochydore or Alexandra Headland. Take quick run down the Steve Irwin Way to see the world famous “Australia Zoo” and “Aussie World ” is even closer.
