I only wish we were hungrier when we visited. The staff was very nice. We started with martinis. Perfectly prepared and poured. The amuse bouche and canapes were delightful. I had the langoustine. Wow! lightly fried and delectable! My husband had the pork which melted...in your mouth. The bread was soft and delicious. The dessert course was a play on the amuse bouche/canapes. What a well thought out meal. They had a great wine selection. We are so disappointed we were not hungry enough to order the tasting menu. While we did not need this, they are able to accommodate some diet restrictions. It was a lovely evening and we plan to return on a future visit to Geneva to have the full experience of this elegant venue.More

We were very impressed with the food and service. We opted for the 6 course Signature menu (frog leg, scallop, sea urchin with caviar, salmon, john dory, foie gras, pigeon, pre dessert, souffle and some other sweets) we have eaten in many Michelin starred restaurants...but this definitely exceeded our expectation. The pigeon in particular was perfectly done. I normally do not write reviews, but I truly think that the chef deserves another star..... a definite must try if you are in geneva.More

We had a lovely evening with delicious, creative food. The dishes were seasonal, fresh and beautifully presented with interesting and surprising flavors. The sommelier suggested a flight of wines by the glass that were interesting, delicious and perfectly paired with the courses. Had a vegan and a vegetarian menu for 2, the food was artistically crafted and tasted divine. It was a pleasure to taste a specifically created vegetarian gastro dish, and not some 'gathered veggie sides' to meet the requirements that some restaurants do. Their 2...façons artichoke was a memorable one, one of the best gastro vegetarian dish we had so far! Service was great as well (better than châteauvieux), we enjoyed the experience and will return for the next veg menu (change every 3 months), looking forwardMore

This was the first tine that I had the pleasure to visit Le Chat Botté; and it certainly won’t be the last. My wife and I were celebrating our joint birthdays and the last week had been particularly challenging. So we booked a table, looking...forward to a relaxing evening. Well, it went beyond what we had expected in every way. From the moment that we arrived, to the way in which we were shown to our table, to the service throughout the evening, there is only one word to describe our experience; exceptional. The food was of such high quality that I shall be dreaming of every course for weeks to come: from the dishes which were presented before the main meal, to the two different breads and the brioche which we were offered, the oil with rosemary, the perfect butter….delicious; and that was before the starters which were mouthwatering. The main courses arrived and disappeared just as quickly; and the desserts, so unusual, so clever, so good. Are we returning? Yes, yes, yes and it won’t be soon enough. If you have the opportunity and you are able to book a table, you must go; you will not regret it.More

After being teased by my brother about not taking him to a Michelin-star restaurant during his visit, we sought out one to try so I could take him there next time. Indeed, it was a gourmet experience and service par excellence. I loved how we...were asked for allergies and how quickly they replaced an entrée that didn't suit it. It was a beautiful and unforgettable experience altogether and the star is well deserved. The food was excellent. The suggested pairings were also highly appreciated. Thank you very much for a lovely experience. We will surely come back with my brother.More

I booked the Table du Chef in the kitchen for my birthday dinner along with 7 friends. You can be a maximum of 8 and needs to be booked well in advance. There is a set menu with a fixed price, but the chef kindly...takes into consideration any dislikes or allergies. The experience was beyond expectations and blew all of us away. The wines suggested were also excellent and took into account our tastes and paired well. The service was excellent and dishes were perfectly timed. We all speak French so the presentation was done in French, but some translations were also provided. The meal was surprising, memorable and I would highly recommend for a special occasion or important event. Also, the team can adapt to different budgets, we just chose to go all out for the maximum experience. I have dined in a big group there before, but not at the chefs table in the kitchen and it was also fantastic (and half the price).More

We enjoyed one of the best meals we have had at Le Chat Botte- a special New Year’s meal where every dish was a masterpiece. The service and presentation were both outstanding. The chef even stopped by our table which was also nice and much...appreciated. Normally with a dinner with multiple courses there’s at least one item that isn’t special, but that was not the case with this meal. Everything was extraordinary, flavorful and very well prepared. Wonderful experience!More

We went for lunch. The extremely friendly and well-prepared staff, professionalism does not overwhelm the simplicity that makes the customer feel at ease. I am originally from Geneva but left a very long time ago and don't visit very frequently. I have always known of this restaurant, located in one of the most prestigious hotels, but never visited before. I had decided to have a luxury and gastronomic...weekend in Geneva, after not going back for 4 years and decided randomly to reserve the Chat Botté. The staff, from the cocktail bar to the restaurant, are all of the same calibre, professional, friendly and want nothing more than that you spend a fabulous time. I even had a cocktail made to measure at the bar before going down to the restaurant. We had the signature menu and each dish better than the last one. I can't even think of a "favourite" one, it would be hard to choose.More

We went with the 6 course tasting for lunch. It was creative with commendable progression. The venison course was excellent. The last course is a sweet take on the savory first course using identical presentation. The chef came out to check in. We were impressed.

This has been one of, if not the best restaurants we’ve ever been to and we have been to several two and three Michelin starred restaurants. We are on holiday from the US so we were just dressed in simple clothes. The staff was very...friendly and helpful. The sommelier was amazing. And then there was the food…each and every sauce was so so good; each piece of each dish was absolutely cooked to perfection, like we had no idea before how perfect an asparagus, a pea, salmon, or all of these foods should be cooked until experiencing the food at Le Chat-Botté. Kudos to the chef, Mathieu Croze. The wine pairing that our sommelier curated was an amazing experience and was perfectly suited to both the regular menu and the vegetarian menu. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone visiting Geneva. Heck, make a special trip if you consider yourself a foodie.More

It is a very smart restaurant and everyone was well and elegantly dressed. Jacket (no tie) for men and I wore a black dress with dressy shoes.
