St Albans-based estate agent Oliver & Akers are celebrating 10 years in business next month with their annual charity golf day.

The golf day will take place on Tuesday, May 14 at Brocket Hall in Welwyn Garden City.

Since the company was founded in 2014 by directors Anthony Oliver and Vic Akers, the team has raised more than £60,000 for charity.

Recipients include Macmillan Cancer Support, Peace Hospice (now merged with Rennie Grove) and most recently Willow Foundation.

This year's event will once again be supporting Willow - a charity close to Vic Akers' heart as it was set up by his friend, former Arsenal FC and England goalkeeper Bob Wilson, following the death of his daughter Anna.

In recent years a host of ex-Arsenal players have taken part in the event, alongside Snooker player Steve Davis and comedian Matt Lucas, who has previously conducted the charity auction following the evening dinner.

Willow was founded by Bob Wilson and his late wife Megs in 1999, as a lasting memorial to their daughter Anna, who died from cancer aged 31.

The charity provides special days for 16-40-year-olds who are diagnosed with cancer.

Oliver & Akers is based in Parkway, Porters Wood, and has sold property across St Albans, Shenley, London Colney, Borehamwood and Dunmow.
