Hillary Clinton is delighted that her top aide, Huma Abedin, has been dating Bradley Cooper.
Page Six exclusively revealed last month that Abedin has been secretly seeing Cooper after they were set up by Vogue doyenne Anna Wintour.
A source told Page Six, “Hillary absolutely approves of Huma dating Bradley.
“Hillary sees Huma as a second daughter, and has given their relationship her blessing.”
After all the drama surrounding Clinton’s emails and Abedin’s soon-to-be ex-husband Anthony Weiner — the source continued the former First Lady is happy her trusted aide is spending time with someone who won’t create public embarrassment.
“After everything that happened with Hillary’s emails and Anthony Weiner, Hillary is joking that she is thrilled that Huma is dating a man who isn’t involved in politics.”
The source added, “Anna Wintour may have set them up, but Hillary’s blessing sealed the deal.”
Page Six exclusively revealed in July that Abedin, 46 and Cooper, 47, were quietly dating.
Another source says they have been taking things slowly as they get to know each other, meanwhile Cooper has been busy filming “Maestro,” the biographical film based on the life of Leonard Bernstein.
A rep for Clinton and Abedin didn’t comment. Cooper’s rep didn’t get back to us.
