- sinead f22 contributionsBeautiful park , very well maintained . Excellent walks and beautiful views along the walks. Kids really enjoyed it and we will definitely be back to camp during the summer months . The restaurant was really nice , very tasty food and can I mention the staff mostly young males that attended to us were so friendly and helpful to my family this was last week mid week . I can honestly say it is one of the cleanest and nicest parks we have been to so we look forward to coming back and doing kayaking and bringing our bikes for the trails . 10/10Written May 15, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Kelly C6 contributionsAbsolutely brilliant gallery, museum learned so much history through so many periods but huge shout out to Mary for being a funny and interesting guide made it so much better to have Mary tell us everything but also let us roam as well. Also Thomas who took time to show us the beautiful saloon room. Can't recommend enough and if you like art its everywhere..Written February 18, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Diarmuid M4 contributionsI recently spent the weekend in Boyle but had not made too many plans for the trip. I was advised by locals to stop at Una Bhan and I am very grateful for that advice.
The staff were welcoming and friendly, Anna was able to direct me to Lough Key and provided me with a map of the walking trails alongside some local knowledge of the park and some of its history.
I was also delighted to learn about the history of King House, which was right across from the shop, as Anna had so much insight about this also.
I will definitely be returning on my next trip this side of the country.Written March 29, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. I wish there had been more information as to what the sculpture represented but it is worth stopping at for pictures and a good break on the drive to county Sligo.Written May 26, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - QGJohnDavie, FL935 contributionsWe visited Castlestrange Stone. A large boulder with carvings used for various pagan rituals dating over 2000 years. We drove right up to beside the stone. After some pictures, we had a quick lunch in the car. Stop here if you are in the area.Written June 4, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Vincent DDún Laoghaire, Ireland1,175 contributionsBoyle library is most useful for me in undertaking historic research on whet happened in Roscommon almost 200 years ago. the newspaper archive is invaluable and is easily used. The staff are friendly and are on hand at all times to assist with technical matters in accessing their computers.

I drove to several gate lodges- only because I didn’t have time to walk. It would be useful to check NIAH or a map to find the locations.Written March 13, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - AileenMary53County Roscommon, Ireland39 contributionsAlthough we had been to King House before we had never been to what is known as the Pleasure Grounds - originally for the private use of the King family. In the Pleasure Grounds are the remains of the monument to William 111 (William of Orange) It was worth going for the history, but the grounds (park) could have done with a bit of a tidy up.Written July 3, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
